EARLY ACCESS V0.0.1 · The Rampart, the town, the wiki · gear carries its own power · the Vendetta hunts youThe relaunch. BreakEven starts its Early Access count at V0.0.1 with the biggest update it has had: a tower-defense game inside the game, a town instead of a tab bar, a handbook that is a wiki, uniques and ores rebuilt, upgrades baked into every item, a ten-tier Descent, Renown, the Gilded, the Vendetta, and a fight-based Power number that never makes you wait. New ContentThe Rampart · a tower defense at the town wall. Place six of ten defenders drawn from your classes, familiars and wardens, hold 15 lives over five waves, then go endless · depth is your score. A new map every calendar day in one of four shapes (winding road, fork, twin gates, crossing) and three difficulties. The first full hold each day pays 180 Marks, your best depth feeds Renown and two new honors: Warden of the Wall and Foes at the Wall. The town · the tab bar is gone. Fourteen themed buildings open everything, doors light up on hover, cards open over the town, and the Darkness switch shows the night falling with windows, lanterns and fires. Every hero of your roster walks the streets with their name over their head · click one to switch. The handbook is a wiki · 35 articles, one per page, a search that returns a hit list instead of a wall of text, and cross-references between articles. The Vendetta · slay 300 foes in a row in the field and one of five hunters calls you out at the Tyrants: its tier is the act you were in, you have 12 minutes, and the first win over each hunter claims a permanent power. The Gilded · a rare foe (about one in 1,800 kills) that pays 40× gold and always drops an Ultimate. Renown · your personal score from Tyrants, Ordeals, the Vaults and the Rampart, shown in the Hall of Honors with a breakdown. Six ores · Copper, Iron, Azurite, Tungsten, Meteorite and Starmetal on top. The Starmetal Seam replaces the Starmetal mine, Starforged rings and amulets, Ultra helms fr...
Hotfix 0.1.8c · The Void Seam is a promise, sort by Power means it, the filter turns inside out Three days of player post. The estate's Void Seam is guaranteed, survey charts work on the late plots again, the bag can show everything outside your filter, unique bows learned what bows do, and a broken Voidglass counter is healed. New Content Everything Else · a new chip in the inventory filter shows every item your filter does NOT match. Sell All then sells exactly those; locked items always stay. The chip is off again after a restart, and Reset clears it. Balance The Void Seam is guaranteed · once Darkness is open and no seam stands on your estate, your next survey or re-survey uncovers it. No more fishing for a 5% roll with doubling re-survey costs. Survey charts work on the late plots · the 12-hour survey cap now sits before the chart and Cartographer discounts. With the best charts a late plot takes about 3.4 hours; without them the cap stays at 12. Unique bows and crossbows carry their kind · the seven unique bows shoot 10% faster, Skysplitter and Ambusher's Edge gain the crossbow's +25% damage and +10% penetration at 15% slower draw. Their own stats are unchanged. Uniques you already own upgrade on first load. Quality of Life Sort by Power means it · the inventory sort and the ▲ badge read the same fight the tooltip shows. An item not yet measured wears no badge instead of a wrong one; the visible page is measured in the background. Auto-hunts stay out of your way · the next Tyrant hunt or Descent tier no longer pulls you back to the combat tab while you browse the bag. Fixes Voidglass no longer shows a number in the trillions · a fresh counter read an internal key and made the Void recipes free. It now starts at zero, and a save that already carries the wrong number heals on load. Notice Your save upgrades itself on first load · an older build cannot open it afterwards.
Hotfix 0.1.8b · The court rebuilds, uniques listen to your gear, the estate found the Void A day of player post. The Necromancer's court refills faster, unique drops respect Drop Rate and Slayer's Hall, Change Mastery is back, Tyrants can teach their schematics, and a Void Seam waits under the estate. New Content Void Seam · once Darkness is open, a survey may uncover one seam per estate. It yields Voidglass, and the Smithy turns it into Voidforged Gear (one piece at the T10 cap, any slot, never a set) or a Void Prism, a Crystal Ancient Chest. Tyrant schematics · every Tyrant kill rolls a 0.5% chance to learn the schematic of one of the boss's pieces; the Smithy then forges the real unique from Starmetal, Meteorite, 1,000,000 gold and 3 Void Skulls. The Old One · Othrek, the Lidless and the Unblinking ordeal wear a new face, an elder thing with wings and a green gaze. Change Mastery is back · on a mastered item, pick another set for 12 Diamonds, a Marks ladder and one Skull. Balance Rebuilding the court · while the Necromancer's Legion stands below half its cap, every harvest chance is tripled. Harvest where you fight: a Shade from an earlier act falls fast to later foes. Uniques listen to your gear · the unique chance is now (base + Slayer's Hall) × (1 + Drop Rate), on kills, Tyrants and Descent floors alike. The Panoply Vault forces your chosen set in the Void and in Darkness too. The Bronze pickaxe quest needs no Mark · Marks come later, with the estate and the hunts. Quality of Life Next Goals · a Hub button opens quests, hunts, challenges and familiars from any tab; a red "The Wall" row names the tool for the zone that would slay you; the card now sits above the Smithy. The Smithing header shows your Marks · the Stronghold toggle reads "Biases: On" or "Off", and the Court shows every Shade's life bar. The Blast/Vent switch shows its word · and Transmute, Refraction and Miasma finally appear in the Foundation row. Fixes Descent floor gear obeys the loot filter ·...
