I am sorry, but the game is just boring. It feels like everything it has to offer is already shown in the screenshots, nothing more. Yes, I spent less than an hour playing, but It just doesn't have any hooks.
The gameplay is completely linear, the obstacles feels absolutely identical and it's all about several sliders going down, Don't get me wrong, «Sliders going down» can provide a lot of fun gameplay, but not here. And refunding this for me is a big deal, because I'm a roguelike-head and played a lot of them, including quite questionable ones. Yet here I felt absolutely empty throughout the entire play session. Worst of all, I'm not sure that content packs and what not can improve this.
It seems like the only thing meant to keep players here is pretty high difficulty in managing resources, but it is so artificial that it achieves quite the opposite. It's not even about "git gud" — I just can't see, why I should.
Very minimalist turn-based rally management. After a couple Game Overs I was able to figure out a winning strategy and beat the game within the first hour. After that I guess the only incentive to keep playing is to try to climb the leaderboard? I'll give it a few more go's just because it's a nice chill thing to play while listening to a podcast. This whole thing feels like it could be a UFO 50 game (complimentary).
A nice little roguelike management game where you try to get your racing team over the finishing line.
- Nice atmosphere and music. - Game seems a little too random and it took a few runs to realize most of the mechanics involved. - Some events felt really punishing, and luck didn't seem to be on my side. - My co-driver died, but at least that meant that the main driver had more food to eat for rest of the race. - Runs nicely on Steam Deck.
