You pilot a boat against Gary, an opinionated kraken, in a cyclical battle of futility and escalating frustration. Each drowning resets your progress but increases your anger meter, gradually improving your odds until you finally overcome this sardonic sea monster. A hand-drawn comedy game for players who enjoy absurdist humor mixed with the satisfying grind of incremental progression.
About this game
Row out. Shoot the enormous sea monster. Drown. File the incident report. Do it again, a little angrier each time. A hand-illustrated idle comedy about losing to Gary, a kraken with opinions and a HR complaint, until one day you don't.

You told us the shop was funnier than it was helpful, and that achievements weren't unlocking. Both fair. This update fixes that, and takes a chore off your hands.Every upgrade says what it doesEach upgrade now shows its effect in plain words, with the real numbers. Second Guy is "+10% chance of 2x damage", the Motivational Parrot is "+25% damage below 20% boat HP". Hover any upgrade to see the joke, the full effect, what you have now and what the next level gives you. The Grudge tree tells you the truth as well. Including about Drowning Resistance. Auto-rowKill your first monster and an Auto-row switch appears beside ROW OUT. Turn it on and the crew heads straight back out after every sinking: the report files itself, and the boat leaves port after a short countdown. It waits while you shop, so it never rows off in the middle of a purchase. It is off until you choose it, and your choice is saved. Achievements work on WindowsSteam achievements, stats and the Drowning Board now reach Steam on Windows. Before this they quietly went nowhere. Sorry about that. Anything you have already earned is granted the first time you launch, so none of your hard won defeats are lost. Gary keeps the book; now Steam does too. FixedThe seagull no longer flies up behind the interface when he chases a tall monster's head. He stays in plain view, where you can click him and hear exactly what he thinks of you. The game now shows its own icon on the taskbar and the Dock, not the engine's. Arrows That Ignore Distance now gives +25% arrow damage. Before, it only changed how the arrows looked. Your saves carry straight over. Thank you for the reviews and the reports; keep them coming in the discussions.
