Achievements are here My First Ant Farm now has 19 Steam achievements. They're not a checklist to race through. They're small markers for the moments worth noticing in a colony: the queen's first egg, the first worker you raised yourself, the day the nest starts looking like a city. The queen's eggs: from her very first egg to a busy queen laying dozens. Workers raised: from the first pale new ant out of her cocoon, to a colony fifty strong that you watched grow. Rooms built: from the first two chambers to a nest that runs under the whole tank. Daylight: the moment your colony breaks out and reaches the surface. Two secrets: hidden until your colony finds them. One is rare by design. How they show up When your colony earns one, a small banner appears at the top of the tank for a few seconds. It waits until you're actually looking, so you won't miss one that unlocks while you're away. There's also a new medal button next to the settings knob, which opens a panel of everything your colony has earned so far. Your existing colony counts If you've been tending a colony since launch, you don't have to start over. The first time you open it in 1.1, it's credited with everything it has already done, with one banner to let you know. Achievements belong to the colony, so starting a new tank means earning them again (Steam keeps the ones you've already unlocked). Fixes since launch Thank you to everyone who sent feedback through the box in the tank. Most of these came from you. Windows: fixed a black screen when switching between the companion window and full screen, and turned the Steam overlay off by default (add --steam-overlay to the launch options if you want it). Mac: the Steam overlay now works. Coming back after time away: brood is now kept in the nursery rooms, instead of piling up beside the queen with the new workers standing on top.
