Fallen Cube
by WRD
Media
Fallen Cube is a physics-based puzzle game where you manipulate the environment to guide red cubes toward their targets by removing obstacles from a limited pool per level. The game's randomized physics system means solutions aren't deterministic—even executing the same approach can yield different results, making progression frustrating for players seeking logical problem-solving over trial-and-error repetition.
About this game
Fallen Cube is a puzzle game where you should in any way deliver the red cube (or cubes) to the destination, which is green or purple marker. You will be given several removal points, after spending which you will be able to clear the way for the red cube to the marker.
What players are saying
This game is a Simplistic Physics Cube game where you need to land the red cube in the highlighted area of the screen. Your cursor shows you the number of cube 'deletions' you can perform per level, and the spacebar resets the level back to the beginning (rather cool reset animations btw). The background music is realitively relaxing, but seems to be on a quick loop and began to become slightly annoying even after the 0.2 hours I've played.
You'll find that the game relies heavily on the physics and that can be a problem. With the short time I've played, I've encountered the issue where the same move (on stationary objects) often yields different results. Sometimes it will take me three times to perform the same level reset / move, and on the 3rd try the red cube lands in the goal area. The first two, well, it didn't work. This makes for unbalanced gameplay, since a move you thought would work didn't, and it may leave you scratching your head thinking performing the same move on the next go around would have it landing in the same place (which it doesn't). Perhaps this won't be such an issue later on as the levels are more about the cubes falling mid-air during gameplay.
Another gripe is that the cube could land in the general area goal on the screen, but the cube can 'fall forward' infront of everything, and that doesn't count. The game appears to be in a 2D style but the cubes can fall in 3D directions, putting the red cubes out of play.
Also, my firewall shows this game reporting back to 34.224.134.130:443 after a few seconds in. There doesn't appear to be any online functionality, so I'm not sure what's being reported back or why for that matter. I've blocked the outgoing communications without any adverse side effects.
In the current state, I don't highly recommend this game until the physics issues and the reporting back are addressed, but it could be a fun game to waste time to in the future. I look forward to more updates and updating my review!
