Castle Clicker tasks players with managing resources and expanding a city through clicking and strategic building placement. Early progression feels rewarding as you unlock new resources and towns, but the experience devolves into repetitive grinding with diminishing engagement as playtime increases. Best suited for those seeking a lightweight strategy clicker willing to accept shallow long-term depth.

Avoid this game !!!! In short, as much as you play - the more and more boring grinding it becomes... At start I liked it, game is simple and You can progress fairly quickly through it... At start You discover new resources, unlock new buildings, find new towns... And it all has some meaning - by unlocking things you gain access to new things... BUT - after some time, game becomes idiotic grinding of BILLIONS of resource usits and HOURS or even DAYS of work in order to finish some tasks :( :( In short - GAME IS TRYING TO FORCE YOU TO SPEND CASH on stones that will greatly multiply every in-game action you take :(

After a couple of hours of playtime I decided to give this game a proper review.
First of all I want to say that the negative reviews here are most likely from people who didn´t give this game a proper look.

What this game is about:
Castle Clicker is an Idle/active Clicker game like the other Clicker games you probably know already.
You click on things and get something. This game is about collecting ressources and then building stuff with collected ressources.

PROS: What this game offers:
  • Building and increasing ressource pools as you progress in this game
  • Sending ships out into the unknown to discover new mines (Stone/Coal/Clay/Iron/Gold/Marble)
  • Sending ships out to discover unknown towns, so you can trade your ressources for gold/ressources
  • Sending ships out to discover treasures to find chests which can contain great stuff (Ingame currency, many ressources)
  • You can play actively with clicking (or get an autoclicker lol) and you can assing up to 100 workers at the same time,
which come from your population, to do the job for you while you watch or when you go offline
  • New Game+ feature when you achieve building all the buildings, which results in a "soft reset" where you can build better buildings : Note - you keep your ressources and all your buildings, but you can build improved versions of buildings which give you much more ressources etc.
  • A level up mechanic where you can decide what bonuses you get from leveling
  • A sort of Skill Tree where you can decide which workers (Sailors, Miners, Builders, Refiners) improve, meaning your Idle workers get more stuff done, so you can skill to fit your personal playstyle
  • There are microtransactions BUT they really don´t give that much of an advantage (only the once buyable Support Coin for 3.99$ gives +50% XP and 25% faster ships, both stats are available while leveling up or can even be pushed with buildings)
  • You get a lot of Gems (Premium Currency) for free while tapping
  • There are certain types of Gemstones which let you boost worker efficiency and even stones that can change mines (example: you can turn Stone Mines into any other ressource when you unlocked them), there is even crazy stuff like Timestones which lets you fast forward time up to 1 day (really neat, got 2 already for free)

CONS: What are the cons?
  • Can feel very slow to get into the game
  • Not knowing what to level up can result in frustration once you know what´s better suited for your playstyle (NOTE: there is an option to Reskill your worker levels by using 15 Gems, it´s not hard to get those)
  • As with every Clicker game there is a certain "Wall" at some time, meaning you will be stuck at some point until you overcome this hurdle
  • When using an Autoclicker the game seems to cap at 10 clicks per second

So far that´s what i´ve experienced in this game. Give it a try if you´re interested!
Hope this helps!

Castle Clicker starts off enjoyable but quickly becomes a tedious grind with minimal reward. The gameplay lacks depth, relying heavily on repetitive tapping and long wait times. Without real progression or engaging elements, it feels like a generic clicker that doesn’t hold attention for long.
