I think this is a good game, but managed by developers who are short sighted by money.
When I started playing this game I immediately enjoyed a lot of what I was seeing, yeah it was a mobile style game with wait times and obvious pay to win currency, but it had a lot of charm. The "freemium" model of gems (aka the cash resource you can buy) is different than i've seen in other games like it. You can earn gems very naturally and organically through playing, of which I heard people earn thousands of gems a month. That already set it far ahead of a lot of games in my eyes. The art is cute, the gameplay was time wastingly enjoyable (and super easy to have in the background), and all and all wasn't that bad.
However, after a day or so I joined the english discord for this game, and immediately I saw some bad vibes. People were talking about how the developers functioned with this game, and I soon learned that this game has been largely untouched for the the better part of the last 9 months.
Outside of events, the only content added to this game were 90$ bundles (can't purchase with in game gems, you HAVE to pay real money) for content like heroes, cosmetics, and other items along that spectrum. When the new event began, the one of May, there was not even any missions or things added to the game, just a wheel to spin daily, some objectives, and again, another 90$ bundle. Now, the 16th they had another small update, and it wasn't anything but (you guessed it), another 90$ bundle.
The biggest point of which that this last bundle includes a new character that is a complete RESKIN of another existing character. It's not a new model, not a new skeleton, literally just the same character with different colors and a different name. So in my mind I thought about it like this, they're not releasing new content, they're not doing fixes to bugs or features, not translating the game, not doing anything but add $$$ packs and things completely not worth the price...
It is very disappointing because I do genuinely like this game, I think it's a great idea with great art, great mechanics, and super wonderful at what it sets out to do. But seeing the obvious money grabbing and lack of care for the fans who are waiting and waiting for actual content and actual input from the developers they want to trust. It's just, sad.
A complete travesty that such a spectacular idea will be squandered by a greedy, ever open palm.
