It's an interesting concept that could have been done well, but it's mostly just frustrating game play. Why do your powers not work this time? Because. That's why.
And there's a definite ideological bent that I found not so much uncomfortable as just a bit stupid. If I'm a Greek God/Goddess, why would I believe things like:
Parents who aren't financially prepared should be prevented from having kids GMOs are bad in any form Refugees are always good to accept anywhere and open borders are the best Companies, corporations, and so on are evil, but free things from the government is very good etc
These are modern day beliefs that do not fit into an Ancient Greek mindset. So many of my 'powers' seem to involve stuff like getting the government to offer free school/arts/child enrichment things, which is bizarre. It's a frustrating game that can't decide whether it's turn based or not, with no apparent growth of belief in you happening without you spending your points (just like real religions??) but with opportunities popping up every so often that usually are very railroaded choices.
In other words, no real immersion in ancient Greek mythology in any sense, the gameplay is frustrating and mostly makes little sense, and it's got its ideological blinders on to boot.
Very fun game with an interesting concept, reminds me of Plague Inc. Still has room for improvement, but when in contact with the developer my feedback is always heard and I see the changes very quickly.
Anthropomachy is a great strategy game, and you have to conquer the world as a Greek God! Each God has its own powers, and you can choose your own path when purchasing them: good, neutral or evil?
It's not so easy to be a conqueror, but I thought this is the funniest part of this game, because you have to find out what you have to do to be a better God to your followers.
The experience in-game is not boring, even when you're doing the same actions constantly, because the developers added some features such as sudden messages appearing with choices that can help you or not (making people lose faith in you or believe you are their savior), and some news that appears in red that can help you in some situations.
There's some little mechanical and visual improvements to do, but that's not a problem for the fun in Anthropomachy!
The developers pay a lot of attention to the community comments and are always ready to help and make updates when necessary! :)

Here's what we've updated in this version: - New god-specific events; - Fixed bug when unlocking certain achievements; - Fixed bug when displaying the End Game screen; - Fixed several minor bugs and typing errors; Other than bug fixes, this will be the last planned update we will release for Anthropomachy. Once again, thank you all for your love and help. Hi there, everybody! This is the first update for Anthropomachy since our release last week. We want to thank you ALL for showing interest in our game, the response has been much bigger that we ever expected! A special thanks to everybody who took the time to send us their feedbacks on our Steam forum and social media, most of the updates we're bringing here today are based on what you guys are sending us so, keep them coming! Also, we ask that if you enjoyed the game, please write a positive review! Since we're a small company (two people) with no marketing budget, we depend solely on our review score to have any visibility on Steam. On the other hand, if you found a problem with the game we ask you to please give us a chance to fix it before writing a negative review. Send us a message on our forum or social media and we will look into it. Help us make Anthropomachy even better! Heads up: DO NOT use save files from older versions as these will not work properly with this update. Here's what we've updated in this version: - Reduced every ability cooldown in half; - Temples now may allow for an ability accuracy to reach 100%; - Changed skepticism impact for most events; - Skepticism will now only affect your followers at 40% (previously 25%); - Increased the number of errors needed to increase Skepticism (previously skepticism would rise 1% for every 3 errors, now it takes 5); - New credits video featuring all gods; We hope you enjoy what this update brings and if you find any issues, you know where to find us!
