I can answer all your questions in two sentences:
- No it's not like Warcraft 3 or The Settlers but more like a time management game (without the stress of a timer)
- Yes it's a ton of fun!
This game really makes me miss playing games like Warcraft 3 or the Majesty. And I love the art style!
EDIT: To be honest... I am a 36 old father of 2 little kids and omg they are so annoying sometimes I almost get crazy. This game really helps me to relax in these situations as the music is so calm and the gameplay is easy but still fun. So if you have kids and they go on your nerves you might check this game out, too.
I liked the RTS and the graphics, and the building and clearing objects were fun but combat needs a lot of work, It's frustrating building multiple combat units only to find out that they're all deadlocked into 1v1's, and by this I mean if I send my swordsman to fight another unit, that unit HAS to be a swordsman as well, so you can't use archer + swordsman onto one swordsman, and you can't have 2 swordsman fight 1 swordsman. The combat is the same with all units , Mages vs Mages/ Archer Vs Archer, another thing that is good to know is that the healers don't actually heal, you have to craft potions to heal up injured units. At the time of writing this I can't genuinely recommend this game to anyone, and concept wise I was really hyped up for it but I'm willing to give it a shot again after a couple patches/updates to it
Look, this game is really casual. It's great for those that don't want to think and just chill. It reminds me of a casual Flash game "My Kingdom for the Princess" that I was stuck on a while ago, which was pretty fun, but not particularly challenging. Grab this game on super special if you need a break.
In this game, you gather resources, which you can use to clear paths, buy workers and soldiers, and upgrade your base. You basically just click on the resource that you want a worker to gather and off they go. As the game progresses, the maps get larger and slightly more complicated, which means that you need to apply a bit of strategy of how you can tackle the map. You can also pick up side quests from characters on the map, which require you to gather unique resources, which are unlocked behind barriers. You can also pick up items and equipment that can give you boosts to resource production or your army.
The graphics aren't amazing and the game isn't particularly large or complicated. But it's fun and I kind of want to play more. Things get interesting from Chapter 3 onwards, so play a bit until then.
