VirtuaCreature is a creature-raising sim where you hatch eggs, feed and train monsters to trigger evolution chains. You manage hunger through snacks or crafted recipes while building a collection of multiple creatures, blending Tamagotchi-style pet care with Pokemon-like battle mechanics. Best for players seeking low-commitment progression and nostalgia-driven gameplay.

I'd recommend this game, it's a game that reminds me of the days of Tamagotchi.
You start with an egg, as it hatches you have then to feed it, raise it and train it to evolve furthermore.
There are the possiblity to have multiple creatures at once.

Regarding Feeding you can choose to feed it with snacks and meal which will bring up the hunger meter or you can craft recipes. Crafting food give bonus stats to your creature.
Concerning the Training it works via minigames.
They are quite simple and unique.
There are also equipments to help you throughout the game.
There is also also an arena section divided in several modes with several difficulties to fight in, there are combats relying on weakness stance type mechanic and some requires to use battlemoves similar of what can be found in an RPG.
There is also the possibilty to PvP or to play in Coop.
The creature also doesn't require a constant care.
There are also achievements and it's free.
Overall, it's a fun and worthwhile to try out, could be a game for example to enjoy in sessions during a break or to relax.

Important update on servers

Hello, After careful consideration, we've decided it's no longer in our best interest to continue running the VirtuaCreature servers. It is quite expensive, we don't bring in the required revenue to break even and we currently don't have any projects coming up using the same infrastructure. So, the servers will officially cease all operations April 7, 2024. However, this is not cause for alarm! We strongly believe in preserving online games after they're gone, and to do our part we've decided to undertake the following actions: The server code has been adapted into a publicly available repository, so anyone can host their own servers and play online! This is fully identical to the master server aside from the authentication and old monetization code, which has been stripped. VirtuaCreature will receive an update on the day of shutdown that switches the game into automatic offline mode, so all singleplayer content can be effortlessly accessed from this point forward. This will also enable connection to any unofficial server by moving a single configuration file into the installation directory. If you're interested in hosting a server for yourself or the public, the repo is available now. Please note that it is not exactly beginner friendly and we aren't offering any extended support on server hosting at this time. Game clients will not be able to connect to any unofficial server until the update is live - this is just to get a headstart on the hosting process. We hope this solution can create the best experience for our players! There is more on the horizon as well, so don't count us out just yet.
