Stone Simulator strips away traditional game goals, letting you exist as a rock passively observing weather, seasons, and surreal events. The appeal lies entirely in its meditative emptiness—achievements unlock for inaction, there's no progression to chase, and the minimal interface creates space for genuine relaxation. It's ideal for players burnt out on objectives and reward loops, or anyone seeking a screensaver-like experience with a philosophical edge.
About this game
Stone Simulator is a meditative idle game where you live as a rock enduring endless seasons and absurd events. Survive storms, unlock quirky achievements, and observe a serene, ever-changing world. Perfect for Zen-like relaxation or meme-worthy humor.

I was suffering from erectile dysfunction and since I bought this game, I've never been harder
I once chased glory, loot, and fame, But every quest just felt the same. Then came a game that didn’t try, No HUD, no score, just earth and sky.
No dragons slain, no kingdoms saved, Just quiet peace, the calm I'd craved. While gamers scream and pixels poar, My rock just sat and gave me so much more.
No patches, bugs, or micro-trans pain, Just stillness running through my brain. I’ve found my place, I’ve found my tone Not player one… but player stone.
Hey. It's me. Your rock. It's been a while, huh? I haven't moved. Obviously. But a lot has happened around here while you were gone - and for the first time in my entire geological life, I have something to tell you. Out loud. With my actual voice. Which I apparently have now?? Pull up a boulder. Let me catch you up. ▶ Play now 🏜️ A Whole New Place to Do Nothing - The Canyon (FREE)For all of recorded history, I sat in exactly one spot. Now there are two. The Canyon is a brand-new, completely free map - sun-baked cliffs, dramatic echoes, and the same profound nothingness you love, in a fresh location. Available in both Zen Mode and Multiplayer. Relocation: achieved. (I did not lift a finger. I don't have fingers.) 🎙️ Voice Chat - Yes, Stones Talk NowThis is the big one. In Multiplayer, you and your fellow stones can now talk to each other. With real voices. We have, collectively, nothing to say - and somehow these are the best conversations I've ever had. Sit in a canyon with your friends. Say nothing. Say everything. Let it echo. (Warning: surprisingly emotional.) 🪨 Three New StonesTired of being the same old rock? Same. Three new stones to be. Pick your fighter. (You will not fight. You will sit. Beautifully.) 🏆 Two New AchievementsTwo new (completely unhinged) trophies, unlocked the only way we know how: by doing remarkably little. So, look. If you drifted away - your rock gets it. It holds no grudge. It holds nothing, because it's a rock. But the Canyon is new, the voices are new, and there's never been a better moment to come back and just… be here. And if you've been sitting on the fence (instead of on a rock) wondering whether to grab it - Stone Simulator is Overwhelmingly Positive, costs less than a coffee, and is quite possibly the cheapest existential crisis on Steam. This update is free, because we're not done with this little rock yet. See you in the Canyon. Bring your voice. 🗣️🪨 — STFGames
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to stay perfectly still… while the world around you suddenly runs faster? I did. So I called the developers. They came, looked at my framerate… and quietly sat down in shock. After long meditations, profiler rituals, and conversations with the spirits of the engine, they performed a miracle — optimization. So massive that in some places performance increased fourfold. Four. Solid. Times. Look at these two screenshots. Similar? You’re right — almost identical. I’m still sitting… or lying… maybe standing? Hard to tell. I’m still a rock. But now look at the top-left corner…On an RTX 5080*Woooow. This isn’t magic. This is optimization. Even I didn’t believe I could do nothing… this fast. What we did: Lowered the official system requirements thanks to optimization! New requirements: Minimum: Nvidia GTX 1060 (6 GB) / AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB) Recommended: Nvidia RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XTMedium and Low render settings now look much more consistent and pleasant. Image 1 — old LOW settings, Image 2 — new LOW settingsMotion Blur toggle finally behaves and works correctlyEvent-related bugs fixed (the stone spirits are pleased)Leaderboard fixed (playtime is now counted correctly per session)Fixed inactive day tracking for the “Existential Crisis” achievementFixed visual inconsistencies in certain eventsAnd this is only the beginning.A lot of strange, interesting, and… perfectly motionless things await. But before I return to eternal contemplation — here’s a small spoiler:Yes. Exactly what you’re thinking. And no, I won’t say more. I’m a rock. We keep secrets.Thank you for sitting with me.PS: Huge thanks to the Rendrify team for helping with optimization1.2.0.2 HotfixFixed AMD Graphic Cards issue (Colorful flickering)Fixed Background music playback option
Hey… it’s me again. Your stone. The Steam Awards 2025 have begun, and I heard about a category that felt… familiar. Deeply familiar.Sit Back and Relax Award — for games that slow everything down, calm your mind, and let the noise of the day drift away. For games where you can simply… exist. That sounds suspiciously like what I do every single day. Sit. Watch. Breathe. Endure. Occasionally observe other stones doing absolutely nothing with incredible dedication. And honestly… if you believe there’s a game out there more relaxing than being a literal rock — feel free to throw a rock at me.But if Stone Simulator has ever brought you a little peace, stillness, or quiet comfort, I’d be grateful for your vote in the Sit Back and Relax Award. Thanks for spending time with me. Even when nothing happens at all.Your stone. ːstone_simulator_boulderː
