Underworld Idle tasks you with building a dungeon workforce by purchasing units that generate the resources needed to unlock higher-tier demons. The core loop centers on strategic unit production and conversion—lower-tier creatures fund your ascent through exponential growth tiers. It appeals to players who enjoy number progression and management depth, though it demands active engagement rather than true passive play.
About this game
An idle dungeon management game, where high tier units can create low tier units.

You see, i find this game utterly boring. There are no upgrades you can buy, no cool features you get to play with from the get-go, nothing fun. You just buy units, then spend those units to buy higher tiered units and so on. That's it. There's nothing else that i experienced in my 5 hours of playing this thing. But i can somewhat see why some people would enjoy playing games like this.
HOWEVER, i absolutely can't recommend playing this game, because THERE'S NO OFFLINE PROGRESSION.
Yep. No offline progression in an idle game. Sure, you're still regenerating your energy, but that's it. Your units don't grow when you're offline, in a game where that's how you progress further.
So yeah, don't play this game until dev adds actual offline progression. And honestly even then i definitely wouldn't recommend you to play it, but you do you)
Should have been titled Underworld Manager instead
Given the high level of micromanagement required to make progress, its difficult to call Underworld Idle an idler. Either way, unlocking new demons is fun for a bit, with iconic art and exponential growth—number goes up, neurons activate. Systems like contracts, runes, and factions, all seem very inspired.
The gameplay loop, however, has issues. A bonanza of manual clicking is required to see early progress. Despite some automation features locked deep into the game, idling will still never be rewarding. Instead, the gameplay loop incentivizes speedrunning.
Don't waste your time unless you plan to set up an autoclicker.
I have had this game for a decent amount of time (not long after it came out) and I can confidently say that it is one of the better idle games I have looked into. My only complaint so far has been the lack of progress if you don't have the game running as I don't particularly like leaving my computer on constantly. I personally have only experienced one significant crash and loss of progress and it was very early into the development of the game. I think possibly introducing a dialog within the factions as well as adding some thematic music would improve the overall atmosphere/feel of the game. Very cool in-game clock mechanic allowing you to get useful tokens/upgrades/resources daily as well as a neat energy use system allowing you to devote passed time (or batteries) into gems/souls or production bonuses for the factions.

Version 1.02 Pearls and pearl power are now not reset on restarts. Contract of the Drowners now increases the power of sea pearls (previously, this contract allowed you to not reset pearls). Added another special one-time reward when searching the junkyard.
