I couldn't enjoy it. It's mostly a keyhunt in a too open map. You can find notes who give you tips where to find those but it was everytime pretty much useless and I just wandered around and checked everything so often because I couldn't find those damn keys. Also at some point enemies appear in the map. Those are simply super annoying and too many. Without all this nonsense, the game would be like 15 minutes long.
As one of the first testers of Whispers of the Dark, I'd have to say that's at least worth the money to play it. The story and writing is a bit dull, but the fear is not too bad. The ending is quite abrupt however.
I really enjoyed this game. It wasn't super scary but had a good horror atmosphere throughout it. The story was also pretty good as well. It was still rough in a few spots and I think it could benefit from a note or something at the beginning that lets you know the controls like crouch, interact, and tasks.
