Dyslexia is a brief horror experience that combines point-and-click exploration with time-pressured quick-time events. Players navigate tense moments where split-second reactions determine survival, creating an unsettling atmosphere through minimal but effective scares. It's designed for those seeking short, intense horror bursts rather than lengthy campaigns.
Not much to say hereAdded new hourly mechanic to make the game harder for the first leveladded working title screen (has a placeholder image)changed linux runtime to 4.0slight performance boostslight game size increase
UPDATE 4.0 Guess what, DYSLEXIA NO LONGER IS JUST A BUNCH OF TEST ASSETS.It's is now "technically" a working game. Although I can't call it a full game until I say without a doubt in my mind that it's gameplay functionality is basically finished.BUT IT DOES NOT MATTER! There is now a functioning game in this new build of the game and I heavily suggest y'all try and break things and let me know.Yep! That's right! You 'Beta' testers now have a Beta to actually play! Though I will say the "game play" is lack luster. So stay tuned to see when it becomes truly functional and fun to play!Changelog:Dyslexia is no longer in alphaAdded gold starter cube for player to stare at (it represents a clock)Added an actual flash to the camera (no camera yet just use ur imagination)Added a hitbox for the player the hit at the correct timeAdded the ability to "fail"Added the ability to "win"Added a timer for the player to beat"Added a camera status to show if the player hit the hitboxFixed the game quality showing "" when a new game is startedAdded the fail to auto happen if the player misses the cube entirely (doesn't matter if you hit it after a miss)Added a hidden viewcone that represents the players vision(I can now make things appear outside the player's vision) = spooky
I'm a little late (I blame my lack of understanding steam CD packages)Good news, We have a WORKING CAMERA SYSTEM that took me a while to get just right.Hopefully untill i need to add any new animations, models, etc; things can start speeding up even more.Change log:Removed non-game essential assets (unless it is necessary for the alpha to be played)Added the bare bones Photo system (Try taking a photo of the white cube in the hallway)Added a hallwaySplit the windows and linux depots so that you don't download both (This dropped the file size of the game in halfAdded Steam Linux Runtime sniper; (Linux now has amazing performance)Next update goalsSince the camera now works, as-well as a functioning pause screen. I will try my absolute best to try and bring the game into a beta and leave the alpha behind. So in other words I'll be adding:Working left right system with checks if your got it rightA timer to winRemoving movement from the game and restricting it to just camera movementFinal notesWith a beta releasing that means that you guys, my beta testers, will finally have a purpose. That means that I will need you guys to poke holes in things and tell me what is wrong. Especially with compatibility and performance between hardware. Can't wait for the next update!!! -Potatow
