Warning: Asset Flip!
Brain Teaser is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", INFINITE BRIDGE, took the Brain Teaser Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, MadFireOn, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work.
INFINITE BRIDGE has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
- "Dodge" = Swipe Game - Complete Ready To Release Template developed by Ak7 Games
- "Avoid!" = Avoid game tutorial developed by Tommy Den Reijer
- "Contrast Tunnel" = Contrast - Tunnel Survival game template developed by DOTexe
- "Zombie Van Drive" = Zombie Drive - Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
- "Nightmare Survival" = Survival Shooter Tutorial developed by Unity Technologies
- "Planetary Defence" = Planetary Defence game pack developed by Daniel Buckley
- "Infinity ZigZag" = Zig Zag 2D developed by Bizzy Bee Games
- "Circular" = Impossible Circle - Round The ball developed by App Advisory
- "Crossy Bridge" = Crossy Bridge Game Template developed by SgLib Games
- "The Deepest" = Cave Exploration Starter Kit developed by Robert "That Games Guy" Wells
- "Vortex Rolling" = Rolly Vortex developed by Bloody Panda
- "Asteroids Belt Try To Survive" = Asteroid Belt Project developed by Allebi Games
- "Asteroids Maneuvers" = Game-Asteroids-Unity Open Source project developed by Adam Holland (also a violation of the Apache open source license).
- "Trapped Guys" = Pixel Adventure 1 developed by Pixel Frog
- "Beat the Moles" = Whack a Mole developed by Tasonco
- "Infinite Brick Breaker" = BallX - Infinite Brick Breaker - Complete Game Template developed by App Advisory
- "Infected Town" = Toxic Townsmen developed by Daniel Buckley
- "Hover Ship" = Hovershift developed by SgLib Games
- "Armored" = Tanks Tutorial developed by Unity Technologies
- "Road to Gelendzhik Palace" = Tower Defence Template developed by Keeree Games
- "Crash Race" = Crashy Racing full game pack developed by SgLib games
The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Brain Teaser" is just a demo/tutorial to make a simple mobile app where the player must ensure falling coloured drops land on the right coloured circles, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended.
Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off.
Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers.
Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from INFINITE BRIDGE.
