Lost Scale: Part One is another lazy bit of cash grab shovelware from the Russian asset flippers at Piece of Voxel. This is a simple, badly made 2D top down wave survival shooter with a bunch of asset flip stock sprites. Gameplay consists of basic twin stick wave survival enemy kiting, but it's buggy and obviously unfun to play because this wasn't a sincere attempt at making a game, it's just a cash grab, an attempt to scam people into paying money for a minimal effort product.
How can we know this? The completely ludicrous $25 USD price tag, which will get you plenty of A+ and older AAA games... or this crapfest. Also, Piece of Voxel's prior history with asset flip scams, and the review manipulation.
An important note: Piece of Voxel are known asset flippers and have previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's effort. Piece of Voxel have shown a repeated pattern of trying to scam gamers, here are some examples of other asset flip scams they've pulled:
Asset flips are harmful to the gaming industry. They're nothing but cash grabs, and they harm genuine indie developers by reducing their visibility on Steam. They make it harder for gamers to find decent games made by genuine game developers. Because this game has all the same low quality as an asset flip, as well as the other problems with it, it's impossible to recommend.
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all one sentence reviews written in Russian, appear almost immediately after the game launched on Steam within about 24-48 hour time period, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this review manipulation.
