Who Dies First is a narrative experiment dressed as a game where you influence character outcomes by timing skill activations during a fixed battle sequence. Rather than traditional gameplay, you're essentially curating story branches through minimal interaction—selecting which abilities trigger and observing how those choices cascade into different endings. It's suited for players interested in dark fiction and emergent storytelling over mechanical depth, though the limited interactivity and heavy RNG involvement make it a niche offering.

DO NOT BUY, THIS IS A SCAM!!!

This is literally a Unity tutorial sold as is: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/essentials/tutorial-projects/dragon-crashers-2d-sample-project-190721

To make things worse, there is, from what i can tell, no actual gameplay, you just watch a fight without interactions, no button from the menu does anything.

This is the most pathetic thing i have ever seen!

First of all - this is not an asset flip. At least not in the usual sense of the term.

Yes, the game is built from paid and free Unity assets and is even based on a game template by Unity Technologies themselves. But that's fine because that's why these assets exist in the first place. The developer took them and built something with them, that's entirely okay in my book. And the developer not only mentions this in the store description, they also include all license information (can be found in the directory ThirdPartyLicenses), even for simple script snippets found on some blog. They didn't even have to do that for many of these assets but they still did which is commendable.

Unfortunately that's where it ends as there's barely a game to be found here. The "gameplay loop" if you want to call it that is to watch a battle unfold between three heroes and a dragon. It's always the same three persons and the same dragon for whatever reason. All you can do is wait until the heroes's skills recharge, then click them. Sometimes you can feed them a healing potion. You can however click the skills in different orders - or not at all - to unlock various achievements.

If that wasn't bad enough already in terms of interaction the far longer part of your time with this will be spent on watching dialogue unfold. It's written in absolutely abysmal "English" and goes places quickly - from a simple dragon slaying expedition to space ships, colonizing planets, skeletons boasting about their chemistry skills ... it's terrible and hilarious at the same time. And yes, I am aware the developer doesn't really speak English but why offer it in a language you don't understand? And if you absolutely have to release it in English please pay a translator who actually speaks both languages instead of relying on the community to do the job for you for free.

In the end, even though it's very cheap and good for a bit of a laugh it's no game I can possibly recommend. There's just too little actual "game" here and far too much cheesy, nonsensical "story" to read.

It definitely wasn't what I expected, was hoping for there to be some more game play aspects to it other than just pressing (or not pressing) skills to get to a certain ending. RNG sometimes made it a bit frustrating when you wanted one particular thing to happen, but it's not like it takes hours to restart and try again.
I don't necessarily know if I recommend the game but it's cheap, and if you've got nothing better to do, why not? Always fun to have a game at 100%, right?

The reason for its existence is to explain some plots of 'Human Origin: Liu Lanzhi' and 'Who dies first'. I have announced in the 'Human Origin' community that I have applied for the removal of 'Human Origin' A related plot of "Who dies first" need to be modified to avoid players from looking for related game because of this "advertisement". As we know that 'Human Origin' is a game and has been removed from sale, there is no need to change the name of some achievements named after 'Human Origin' in 'Who dies first'.
