A sad recent trend has been popping up lately - asset flippers taking code found on Github for free and releasing the compiled "game" on Steam for money. To the flippers this is even better than having to pay for an asset from the Unity store. For people like me who hunt asset flippers it's annoying because the assets in question aren't always that easy to identify. Still managed to do it, though, heh ...

Anyway, "Stapel" is such an asset flip. It's simply Stack, a very bare bones game someone named telecoda put together to, as they write, learn Unity. They also released it on the Google Play store but it's been removed by now. The code is from 2017 as well so it's likely long been forgotten by the original author.

All "Quickbobber" did here was clone the repository and compile it with Unity. No change has been made and so the "game" opens in a 480x800 window as it was apparently designed for rather ancient mobile devices. There's a resolution option in the equally ancient Unity launcher but it's overridden by the game code.

The "game" itself is an extremely simple clone of the successful mobile game "Stack" by Ketchapp. There are countless free clones of the same game (which is also free) so there's really no need for another one, especially one that's not one iota better than any other.

Oh, by the way - this is also in violation of the MIT license which, while granting the right to do whatever with the code, has to be included with the game. It isn't.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy this crap.
