Blobbs: Remastered is a real-time puzzle game where you shoot and pop distinctive blob creatures across 50+ levels, each with unique mechanics that create escalating challenge and variety. With sixteen blob types and a satisfying arcade feel reminiscent of 2000s flash games, it's built for players who enjoy quick-hit puzzle sessions and don't mind some trial-and-error in pursuit of that one-more-level momentum.
About this game
The Blobbs are Back! Rebuilt from the ground up in a brand new engine with fully remastered graphics. Ping, pop, zap and explode your way through 50+ levels featuring 16 different types of blobbs (including 4 new ones!) in this colourful and quirky real time puzzle game.
Honestly this is an enjoyable little game and is oddly moreish, just one more level.... just one more try at this one and so on. The game style is very retro flash game, but with cleaner graphics. The sound design is on point and the popping noises the blobbs make is really satisfying.
I do find that some of the levels are more 'luck' than skill potentially and the number of times I failed a level because a blobb was hiding just of screen somewhere is a little annoying, but I've got through the 50 main levels and the 50 elemental levels.
For the price, this is totally worth and a great little time killer.
Fun little puzzle arcade game that starts off easy but it ramps up quick. The cute colourful graphics and music are very reminiscent of the old flash games from the 2000's, so it almost feels quite nostalgic if you were around then. The aim of the game is to pop blobbs. Sounds easy enough but you only have one shot (until later) and each blobb has it's own characteristics that can either help you cause chaos or can ruin a good chain reaction you have going on. You can even create your own levels to experiment with and create lots of pretty colours! Great little game to have for when you're bored or just want to kill a few minutes.
Hi everyone! Just a very quick update to fix a critical issue which was preventing players accessing the DLC level packs (even though they owed them). Sorry to all players who were affected by the issue, it should now be fixed and you should be able to play the level packs. If anyone still has problems accessing the DLCs, let me know! - Nutter
Hi everyone, This is just a quick message to say welcome and thank you to all the new players who have added the game to their libraries since it went free to play. You've absolutely blown me away with how many of you there are. Over 5000 new players in the first two days is crazy! It's amazing to see so many people enjoying the game and even submitting levels to the workshop so I just wanted to send out a quick thanks to everyone. That being said, we still haven't hit 10 reviews yet which means the game isn't anywhere near as visible on the steam store as it would be with just a couple more reviews, so if you are enjoying the game it would make a massive difference to just spend those 30 seconds leaving a review for the game. Once the game hits 10 reviews and gets a review score we can probably double that number of new players so i'd really REALLY appreciate anyone taking the time to leave a review. Have a great halloween! - Nutter
Hi everyone! As promised patch 1.03 is here and with it comes the release of the new Outbreak! Level pack as well as the free to play release of the base game. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42512461/d8da94f2c215e162d683417559da0fafe3bb908e.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42512461/aa7954d436168247339946a30dbdfe17c8f7062b.png Blobbs: Outbreak! is a brand new level pack i've been working on over the last 6 months or so and offers a whole new 70* levels of zombie filled puzzles to solve, just in time for halloween. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42512461/9cb82ef8737933d4bd93961f212da01e2254c658.png For the first time in the Blobbs series, this level pack also features a branching storyline where you can choose to either stop the outbreak by helping researchers research a cure for the infected blobbs, or take the more aggressive option and join the military destroy the outbreak with as much firepower as they can muster. With this branch in the story, the level pack has a total of 70 levels and two different versions of the final boss so needless to say it's definitely been most complicated level pack developed for the game so far. But that's not the only big news of this update! Today the (base) game has gone free to play, which hopefully means we'll be welcoming a whole (zombie) horde of new players who can now pick up the game (including the Reloaded level pack) for free. As a special thank you to all the legacy players who already purchased the game between since it's released in 2022, right up to today when it has gone free to play. I will be adding the Elemental Mayhem DLC, Mad Science DLC and the NEW Outbreak! DLC to the legacy package. Which to put it in simple terms, means that if you didn't already own Mad Science or Elemental Science, you'll be getting them for free along with all legacy players recieving a free copy of the new Outbreak level pack. Thanks again for giving Blobbs: Remastered a shot and for supporting a small indie dev! Have a great halloween and I hope you enjoy tackling the z...
