In-game weapon stats In this update, I’ve added a new weapon overview to the in-game menus, so players can now check the stats of each equipped weapon, including level, power, and more. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42426276/233ec03cfe4146cfe093c193c30b973cdc9e83eb.jpg I also changed the card layout to a square format, which I think makes the power-up screen look cleaner and more visually pleasing. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42426276/1e3f38419a0eb2450ed536d224729c675febe4e7.jpg Over the last two weeks, I’ve also been working on a new trailer for Burning Skies, since the previous one no longer represented the current state of the game very well. I’m also trying to improve the game’s presence on social media, since Steam discoverability can be very difficult these days. This is a smaller update, but I hope it helps make the game clearer and easier to understand. As always, please let me know what you think. Hello folks, the new update for Burning Skies is live! Over the last weeks, I focused on improving core systems, stability, and progression for the demo. This update also lays important groundwork for the future of Burning Skies, including localization and cross-progression between the demo and the final game! Coins and Unlock System {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42426276/a37da2deb6e0aeccf26f6a56de34ae71801914cd.gif Coins have been added as a new drop during gameplay, that can be used to unlock items An unlock screen that now is used to unlock skins but we'll have more unlockable stuff on upcoming updates 2 new unlockable skins have been added to the game. Localization System {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42426276/67105af119cffc84844af766a2125acabb6dc6e0.gif A new localization system has been implemented, allowing the game to support multiple languages going forward. As a first step, the game is now fully localized in Brazilian Portuguese. Save System Rework The save system has been completely reworked This system is also designed to be shared with the full game, meaning your demo progress will carry over. Menu Navigation Improvements You can now use the B button or ESC to go back in menus, making navigation much smoother and more intuitive. I also fixed an issue where pressing back multiple times could break the menu flow. Your toughts if you try the demo, I’d really like to hear your thoughts on Discord or the Steam forums. This is very important to shape the future of Burning Skies. So far, the demo had over 350 players but only 4 steam reviews, if you enjoyed the demo consider leaving a small review, this helps the game in the steam discovery system. It means more visibility, more reach, and a stronger launch ahead. For a solo project, this is a big step forward. Development hasn’t slowed down.
