This game seems to be designed fairly well, but it really suffers from some very small issues that balloon to a pretty unenjoyable experience. I hope the devs don't find this to be too critical, I really did enjoy most of my time with it & it's well worth the asking price of almost nothing. Great little game overall. I'm right on the 50/50 mark on whether I'd recommend so I'm going to say yes.

The main source of frustration is that tile rewards from activations seem to stack at the bottom of the deck. I had a setup with 5 Quarries surrounding a tile I wanted to place a Power Plant on. I had about 65 tiles in my deck when I got the Power Plant so by the time I ever got to place it, it had been about 30 minutes of real time, and each mine had generated 300-500 coal. The Power Plant then took all the coal at once and upon activation converted the 1800 coal into like a hundred Power Lines... so not only can I not power my city until 50 or so placements later, I've wasted my entire coal supply and rendered the game very boring, since once I do power it I just have.. 95 identical tiles that I guess I need to place around monuments? By this point in the game, turns were taking about 30 seconds each (including fast forward), and I'm not particularly thrilled about the idea of spending 40 minutes cashing in those power lines.

I want to be productive, so I'll put here what I'd actually ask for. Of course I'm not a designer so I'm not sure how much my opinion is actually worth here, but it felt wrong to be like, "hey, here's a problem," and not at least try to brainstorm some way around it.
-An option to skip to end of turn immediately, fast forward is not enough once you already understand what's generating you points. In that game I mentioned above, every turn I had to watch the coal mines bounce around generating coal for 10 seconds while waiting to place my tile.
-Have tile rewards from activations appear at the top of the deck. The current implementation seems to punish efficient players who get more points from fewer tiles by making them wait longer for their rewards. I think this is not very fun.
--Failing that, an option to reduce the amount of tiles you gain from level up would be nice. This would double as a difficulty option which could help tune the game's pacing to the player's preference.
-Let the player choose the amount of cards generated on activation. My tile count got to 174, more than two thirds of that is just infinite power poles! I only wanted one!

Very cozy city builder with plenty of depth. I'll be coming back for that high score leaderboard!

A really fun little city building strategy game, reminiscent of Islanders and Stacklands. The emphasis on strategic gameplay makes it easily accessible, with rules that you can pick up within the first few minutes of play. Would really recommend for fans of puzzle/strategy games, or city building sims.

Tile Lands v1.3.3 Out Now

Hey Everyone! How's about that v1.3.2 release hey? 😂 But in all seriousness, I want to apologise again for the bugs that came through into production, all quite game breaking and really ruin the experience! Thanks everyone who reached out to let me know about them and help me solve some issues. Some important things to note: The issue occurring where the UI would disappear when you lose the game has been solved - some people have raised concern that their score will have been lost, fortunately this is not the case! All scores achieved during this build were successfully pushed to the monthly and all-time leaderboards and can be seen properly now when viewing the leaderboard or seeing a game over screen. Save/Load Fix The other major bug was relating to loading games which had quests present on the board. There was an issue in the backend where it wasn't correctly saving the tile that they had been on so when the game went to load it would throw an error and freeze. This is now resolved and data will save correctly, however any data saved previously will still be incorrect. You will need to start a new game on this update to resolve the error. Again, I'm very sorry for this and for any data loss - it's a frustrating oversight and I can't apologise enough. Outside of that, this release includes the following additional small tweaks: Minor visual improvements to Volcano, Mountain, Field, Lake and Marshland tiles Fixed a bug with the Volcano where it would launch boulders at the wrong tiles Tiles destroyed by the Volcano are now added directly to the bottom of the deck instead of adding Wastelands Fixed language syntax issues on description of Mountain tile Updated the Volcano to show a description of what it does Tile merges now cascade: When a merge completes that would lead to another merge, this merge takes place immediately so merges can be chained and better placed - the placement of any merge is always based around the tile placed that would cause the merge (i.e....

Tile Lands v1.3.2 Is Out Now

Hey there, everyone! For the first time in a while, we have an update for Tile Lands and (while it may be small) it's a pretty decent one! 🤩 Update Changelog New Features Added Official Controller Support Added support for Saving mid-run* Introduction of Monthly Leaderboards Improvements Updated Tile Drawing system for better balance Updated UI designs Updated full Credits page We haven't forgotten about the other changes, improvements and new tiles - life's just been crazy busy! But we have some really exciting news around the corner and all the new features won't be far behind Big love and many thanks for your continued support ~ Cuba and the Shiba Team *The update to the save system to support saving a run changes the way that the game stores which tiles have been discovered - this means that on updating, the game will reset all unlocked tiles to default (i.e. none!) - for this I apologise, there wasn't any easy way I could get around it but at the current stage before any new tiles are added it's a better time to have that loss now than later! Appreciate your understanding
