Get through the whole game in 6 hours without walkthrough guidance. Puzzles are all reasonable Very decent story and art, very lovecraftian . All horror scenes are expectable. Bugs do exist, don't pause and save the game while walking.

About This Game
Ed broke the curfew to visit his friends in order to find out the truth of his granddaughter's disappearance, but the truth was far more terrible than he thought.
What players are saying
An unpolished atmospheric horror puzzler, memorable enough to play, but often very rough around the edges.
tl;dr below...
The Good:
- Some great character artwork. - An unpredictable narrative, which keeps the player engaged. - Generally good puzzle design. - An ambitious amount of diversity in the puzzle design for an indie team- not everything lands, but it's good that you don't feel like you're doing the same thing over and over again. - Some very nice, short animated sequences, especially when transitioning between characters.
The Bad:
- For how well drawn and distinctly most of the characters are drawn, two of the main characters seem completely out of place, and just like 'generic anime main characters.' Their blandness clashes with the other characters and the environment. - There's a whole lot of poorly translated dialogue going on here. Mostly you can get the gist of what the characters are trying to say, but sometimes the English is so broken that you just gotta keep rolling on. - The game features a really under-baked 'insight' mechanic that doesn't give you enough charges, and the seems to give very little benefit for using it- and actually often punishes you for using it. The idea of it was interesting, the execution felt reasonably pointless by part way through.
tl;dr:
It's a short little horror romp. It scratches the itch of 'Silent Hill minus combat' if you're looking to fill that void. About 3 hours for a first run through, with incentive to replay, but not a bad value for $10.
Well... It was interesting. Until the moment when they tell me
"that's it, folks, you're doomed"
. I could be wrong, but I think there's
only one ending to the game, and it's pretty bad for everyone except Chris and Michelle
, and that's a bit disappointing. I thought my decisions were supposed to have an impact. But no. Ironically,
the linearity of the plot is matched by the linearity of the gameplay
. The stories of characters like
Ed and Beck
end abruptly.
Dawson and Chris
are developed better and more logically. Another negative point is the low quality of the images. The backgrounds and some of the art look like stretched out low-res images. This is disappointing, because I initially really liked the art style of the game. The game has a very good atmosphere, sound. There is a sense of tension, I like that. I liked the fact that you have to solve puzzles in real time and feel dangerous. Overall, it's a good Lovecraftian story, and I recommend checking it out.
