This was written before the major update on 10/13/2023 Midnight Monitor: Anomaly Watch, is developed and published by Viexi Games. It was recently released and is in Early Access. You have six cameras to watch and report any strange occurrences in a haunted house. You go from camera to camera trying to notice any changes from the last time you looked at it. There is such a long list of anomalies to choose from and submit that it's sometimes hard to pick the correct one. If you pick the correct anomaly, after you submit it then the anomaly gets corrected. If you chose wrong it will tell you "no anomaly found." Then you go to the next room. Cameras are in the Bedroom, Hall way, Kids bedroom, Living room/Kitchen area, Stair well and External area (outside). Your job is to spot and report any anomalies that occur in the house, such as moving objects, disappearing items, electrical glitches, camera errors, and much more. But be careful, the anomalies are not only watching you, but they are also trying to stop you from reporting them. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3088620989 Game play Features: * Currently there are 14 different types of anomalies (with more planned) * A dynamic lighting system * Over 230 different anomalies * 4 different game modes that change the difficulty and the style of the game: normal, dark, black and white, or hard mode * Mix & Match game modes for varied and thrilling challenges * An addictive stat tracking system that keeps track of your total playtime, anomalies reported, total anomalies, and more! * Future updates planned (Neighbourhood Watch, seasonal content, content updates & more!) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3088621130 The developer is quick on fixing any issues and also making suggested improvements. Don't you wish all developers were like that? PROS: * 37 Steam Achievements * Harder than it seems * Low price for all that you get * No issues on Windows 11 CONS: * Could use explanations on anomaly choices * No trading cards Final thoughts: Midnight Monitor: Anomaly Watch is a game that will test your observation skills, your memory, and your nerves. Nice little inexpensive gem that I'm sure you will enjoy as much as I did with more content coming soon! Such a fun lil spooky spot the difference game!! -This game definitely challenges your observational skills -Not too jump-scary as of right now, however can still be scary as you don't know what to expect when you switch cameras which i find quite enjoyable -I really enjoy the additional modes that make it extra challenging and more interesting! i'm looking forward to the future updates! :D 100% worth the price

Leaving this review is difficult. I wasn't sure if I wanted to leave a negative or positive review. Ultimately, I realize I enjoy playing the game and at the price tag, it's fairly worth it. Even more so if bought on sale. If you enjoy games like this and Observation Duty, this is a nice one to have in your library. It's enjoyable, though there are a few things wrong with the game that I feel I have to add. For starters, I'd like to know what the devs were thinking when they came up with the steam achievements. Majority of them center around playing a single map for many hours. With only two maps to pick from, the burn out is real. Second, with dark mode enabled it's absolutely impossible to see some of the anomalies. This should be fixed. If it was intended, it's unfair and ridiculous. I don't want to GUESS that something might be there. Several typos through out the game. Small, but annoying. Confusing anomalies. I've spent way too much time trying to figure out what to select. The T.V monitor should come with some kind of disclaimer that it isn't an anomaly. Despite the issues I have with the game, it's not a BAD game. I have fun playing it, even if I get annoyed from time to time to how unfair it feels sometimes. (seriously, every game I play it tells me there is something missing in the kids bedroom. I feel like I'm being gaslit here, because I never SEE anything actually missing.) The price tag is reasonable, not stupidly inflated. Game is still worth giving a shot.
