IdleDev tasks you with grinding through the software development cycle, managing energy drinks and cash while contending with a demanding boss. The game combines light narrative flavor with idle mechanics, though player feedback suggests its core systems feel rough and incomplete, making it worth approaching cautiously if you're seeking a polished incremental experience.

I might be missing something here - but this feels horrendously unfinished.

The images used as promo do not actually reflect the finished product, graphically or content-wise, the multipliers have not once increased or decreased while playing despite good streaks, the overall mechanics are spotty, interfacing with the primary game loop and the shop are so highly inconsistent that a flash game mechanic becomes frustrating.

If this were a homebrew proprietary engine tech demo, it'd be ever so slightly more acceptable. As it stands, I could not recommend this to anyone.

Breaking down the key features listed as of 17/12/2023:

The annoying boss mechanic is a dude that comes in does a Sims dance. Your character will tell them to uckfay offyay. That's it.

The budget constraints, resource allocation and financial decisions amount to buying energy drinks and a very undefined mechanic that occasionally brings up something resembling a basic timesheet.

Because the mechanics involved for pressing and holding space while occasionally buying an energy drink being as janky as they are, I never saw a single implementation for any sort of strategy.

One cannot beat their boss up with a keyboard. You can limp-wristedly fling your cardboard keyboard at him, sure, if you don't mind watching every key come flying off like freshly birthed butterflies the moment you move it. It does nothing.

There is no storyline, let alone a dynamic one. I got "You left the company" randomly, since the anger, bugs, etc mechanics are not actually stated anywhere.

The copy in the description seems to be the most well implement part of this game.

There's a chance that I've completely and utterly not given this a chance, or missed some crucial information, but there's other factors that tell me this game is half-baked.

Audio settings do not stay saved between sessions, so to avoid the music and obnoxious cussing out of "the boss" (who just acts like a seat-filler employee) you will need to drop it down each time you open it up because I'm sure you won't be captivated by the sound effects and music selection.

As mentioned before, switching between the computer and the shop interface is generally unresponsive.

As it stands, if this is ever say, a few cents, sure, grab it.
For 12 NZD, or 7.45 USD, for a press space to drop a line down game with an energy mechanic, devoid of everything stated in the description, pass.
