I just don't think this game is for me. However, they have done all the right things. The art is really cool and highly detailed. They have voice acted all of the characters, and they have focused on the narrative. These are all things that I like. But I think the balance of story to gameplay is a little off. 20 minutes of story, no matter how well voiced and written, is a lot of narrative pipe to get through before I get to throw my first punch. That being said, the game is not expensive, and if you know what you are getting into, it is probably a good time.
It's a rather short game, and actually not that much of a game but more like an interactive story. You don't do much, other than walking right/left, talk to people and click the mouse to throw some fists a few times. 90% of the game is just conversations, the audio is fixed russian, the subtitles english or russian. There are exactly 3 options, the text language and volume of the voices and music.
The conversations are also fixed, they just tell the story and cannot be stopped, only skipped. The game does not even have a save function, you have to finish it in one go, which is less than 2h. I have more than that, because I had to start over, after closing the game yesterday.
I still recommend the game, mainly because i'm learning russian atm, and the dialogues are on the easier side and I liked the humor. The voice actors are very good, they speak clearly and fit their roles, but could speak a smidgin slower in some cases. However, I don't regret buying it, and I will play it again with russian subtitles in a few weeks.
