ENG
The game Quadrillion, despite little or no hype, is one of the best gaming ventures of this year in Slovak waters. Despite the fact that it is still in a very early stage, it plays very well, has the right horror-survival vibe. Despite the higher game difficulty it is very entertaining and satisfying. It doesn't go the way of scare-jumps, but a solid horror atmosphere and with hints of a very good lore and story. Game has also good performance/optimalization and nice graphics. If I had to compare it to anything it would probably be Necrovision, In any case buying the game I can recommend it at this stage because I am convinced that it is (already is) and will be just a blast!

SK:

Being Slovak, I was pretty excited when seeing this game on the store page, as the game was made by Slovak developers. Unfortunatelly, in its current state, this game is not far from being unplayable.

I´ll start with the good, because there´s not much. The art style is pretty appealing. The almost retro-style graphics are pleasing to the eye. The second positive being the music. It does fit the creepy and depressing setting of the game. Unfortunately, those are all the positives I´ve been able to salvage from this, so now I´ll move on to the negatives.

The first, but least problematic would be the lack of enemy variety. There are only 2 enemy types, but it´s more like 1 enemy type, because they behave exactly the same. One is a zombie soldier with a stahlhelm, the other a zombie with an officer´s cap. Both behave exactly the same and die from 1 bullet to the head. The second problem would be in the guns. I´ve been able to find 4 in the 2 levels of this game that I´ve played. Problem is, there´s not much point in using the remaining 3, because the starter pistol does the job just as well. Now, we move on to the bigger problems. A really jarring one is the wrong description of some important items in the inventory. For example, towards the end of the first level, you get a key. In the inventory, it says it´s a drawer key, yet you use it to open a door to exit the level. This may mislead some players, and result in them wandering in circles in the trenches wondering what to do, like I initially did. Some objectives can also be incredibly vague. The first level is a clear example. Your first objective in the game is to ´´read a note.´´ There are several notes at the start of the level, yet none of those are the actual objective. The actual note is on the other side of the trench, on the wall with a knife sticking out of it. Once interacted with, it will bring out a totem out of the ground, that you HAVE TO interact with to open a gate to progress. You can also just clip through this gate, because it has no collision, but then the level script will screw up, and you won´t be able to complete it. The game is very specific like that on what you have to do. The second level is particularly bad in this regard, because the first one at least shows you cutscenes of stuff happening, so you know what to look for. But the second level is very subtle like and area previously blocked by a tank now being open after completing an objective. And also one of the objectives is to literally just LOOK AT something instead of actually interacting with it, which can also confuse.

But this brings me to the worst offense of this game so far. As I´m writing this review, The second level of this game is broken to the point of being unbeatable. At the end there is a bridge with a locked ramp and a gate/door behind it. This is clearly meant to be the end of the level, since I got an achievement once I reached it. Problem is, you clip straight through the door. behind is a broken bridge with a river underneath, that you can cross, but upon reaching the other side, there´s nothing but a flat wasteland, essentially the end of the road.

I don´t rightly know if this will ever be fixed. It may since the game is early access, and it hasn´t been out for all that long yet. But right now, iin its current state, I wouldn´t recommend this game to anybody.

where to start...this game has a ton of potential. but right now, it is a buggy mess. I was getting necrovision vibes initially, and I love that game. And this game's combat does feel pretty good. It's snappy and the enemies feel great to shoot. That's about all it has going for it right now. When you die, you spawn back at a campfire. the enemies also spawn there ,behind you,& are literally already in mid-swing attacking you when spawning in sometimes. And you die in like 3-4 hits because you don't revive with full HP. I had no idea where to go. This was worsened by the map glitching out/disappearing/falling through it. so I pretty much just gave up because it was a buggy, frustrating slog

Frontline Report: Breaking the silence after a long time

Frontline Report: Breaking the silence after a long timeHello everyone,It has been a long time since Update 0.4.1. We have been completely silent, but for a very good reason. Over the past few months, we haven't just been patching Quadrillion—we have rebuilt approximately 95% of the game from the ground up. As developers, we took a hard look at our original vision. We realized that to truly capture the terrifying, oppressive atmosphere of World War I, we needed to make radical changes. The true horror of the Great War wasn't supernatural monsters—it was the war itself. Here is exactly what we’ve been working on, why the game looks and plays completely differently, and what you can expect in the "new" Quadrillion.🌑 Goodbye Lovecraft, Hello Realistic HorrorWe have officially dropped the retro-style graphics, the zombies, and the Lovecraftian monsters. We transitioned entirely to realistic 3D models and environments. The horror is now grounded in reality, focusing on the dark, muddy, and brutal atmosphere of a real WWI battlefield.🧠 Dynamic PTSD & Psychological SystemWar takes a toll on the mind, and we want you to feel that. We’ve implemented a complex PTSD/Stress System that tracks your psychological state:Stress Increases: When you are under heavy fire, surviving mortar strikes, caught in gas attacks, or when you execute an enemy who is trying to surrender. Getting betrayed by a surrendering enemy will also cause a massive stress spike!Stress Decreases: You can manage your mental health by eating, reading, showing mercy to surrendering soldiers, or simply sitting down and talking to friendly NPCs.🎭 Unpredictable AI & "Fake Surrender" TacticsOur AI has been completely overhauled. Enemies now feel human. They can get wounded, swear at you, or beg for their lives. Most importantly, they can surrender. * Trust no one: If an enemy drops their weapon, you must disarm them. If you just turn your back, they might pick their gun right back up and shoot you.Randomized Spawns: ...
