Ells Tales: Egg combines survival horror with clicker mechanics, trapping you in a chicken coop where you must protect an egg from hazards while solving a way to escape your chains. The premise is straightforward but tense: balance frantic clicking to keep the egg safe against environmental threats and your own confinement. It appeals to players seeking an unusual take on the clicker genre with horror atmosphere and puzzle-solving elements.

- The game features retro-style graphics that add a nostalgic touch.

NEGATIVE POINTS:

- It is not a game for all audiences because of its rawness.
- The chickens can be very scary.

CONCLUSIONS:

Your goal is to get out of the place alive and to do this, at first, you must press the button at the right time so that the egg jumps and does not break.

8/10.
Despite its simplicity, the game offers a unique and exciting experience that is sure to appeal to those who enjoy demonstrating their skill with a focus on horror in the background.

Being Jazz Chicken I felt I needed to play this game for Spooktober.
The concept of the game is good but the execution was pretty bad.
The hand icon to interact gets in the way which prevents you from pressing the button to make the egg jump causing you to die. So you have to look away from the egg, BUT if a chicken runs across the screen as you press the button to bounce the egg, the game thinks you want to interact with the chicken and so prevents you pressing the button and instead makes you shake your head as in "No, I cant grab the chicken"
I didn't even want the chicken!

Once free, naturally you are going to want to pull the lever. But if you do it breaks the egg thus getting you killed and you have to start all over again.....this I find to be a ♥♥♥♥ move by the creator.
The shotgun mechanics are garbage. Naturally you will want to press left click to shoot. But instead it pumps the shotgun removing the 1 and only shell that's loaded. As there is NO checkpoint after beating the egg game I feel the shotgun should have unlimited ammo. It would have been very satisfying to shoot all the chickens and the random "creatures" after beating the game lol. Right click is the only way to shoot. There is no cursor so you need to be spot on when shooting, otherwise you have to start the game all over again.

At this point after restarting multiple times until I finally land the shot, the egg jumping game has become very monotonous at this point. Once escaped the ending is completely random. If you solve the puzzles you are treated to the true ending which equally makes no sense and is just completely random. It left me unsatisfied. Seeing your character leave the building and a fade to black would have been more satisfactory.
Solving the puzzles was like grinding my teeth too as the hand icon wouldn't always appear. The saw blade would activate even though my hand is free which I don't know why the 2nd button is still an option at that point. That mixed with the gun mechanics caused me to restart multiple times.

The graphics, sounds and overall ambience was great. But how it was all put together made me want to peck my own eyes out and deep fry my nuggets in a vat of boiling oil.

Serbian Localization Added!

This update introduces one major feature: Serbian language support has been added in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, reflecting the dual writing systems used in Serbia. A huge thank you to the translator, Radoš "rammba" Milićev! His Steam profile: rammbagrobar One unfortunate limitation we discovered: although the game now fully supports Serbian in-game, Steam does not currently allow us to localize the game’s store page in Serbian. We’d love to see Steam expand support for more languages on store pages in the future. Best Regards, Ells&Pills

Hi, Ells&Pills is here! ːete_leftːːete_eggːːete_rightː We're thrilled to announce that starting today, Trading Cards, Badges, Emoticons, and Profile Backgrounds are now available for the game! Last fall, when we added Community items for Ells Tales: Chairbound, we mentioned it was possible we might bring all these cool items to Ells Tales: Egg by the end of 2025. We didn’t quite make it by year’s end, but they’re now available, with just a slight delay! ːete_19ː ːete_40ː ːete_42ː Best Regards, Ells&Pills

Big Refresh

Hi, Ells&Pills is here! It's been a full 16 months since the game's release! Isn't that a perfect excuse to drop a big update and give the game a nice polish, huh? :D {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45021997/1f750ee515205ecde5cbab0e7acea70a7655382a.jpg This update includes the following changes: The game menu has been completely updated. Our first game was weird in itself, but the most bizarre thing was the extremely crude game menu, lol. If you're familiar with our games, you might have noticed that with each game, we gradually improved our menu and added new features. So we decided to completely rework the game menu from scratch, taking all our progress from our latest game Ells Tales: Chairbound. Added German localization for the game and the Steam store page. Added French localization for the game and the Steam store page. Added Spanish localization for the game and the Steam store page. The in-game font has been changed, now it's unified for all localizations. The 3D model of the "black thing" has been changed because its figure elicited ambiguous reactions and evaluations from some players. Chickens have been added. Minor bug fixes. We also want to share a bit about the news on our latest chicken-themed game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3234970/Ells_Tales_Idols/ Originally, we thought we'd release it by the end of last year, but unfortunately, we weren't happy with the result. If it seems too boring and uninteresting to us, it definitely wouldn't appeal to you. So over the past year, the game has been reworked from scratch 3 times, and each time unsuccessfully — it just turned out to be nonsense. Currently, the game's concept has undergone some small changes; in terms of gameplay, it'll be closer to RE7. So we'd be thrilled if you added the game to your Wishlist. We haven't abandoned its development! We just really don't want to release a bad game that would disappoint all of you. Best Regards, Ells&Pills
