this is the kind of game that would have been spread around middle and high school pen drives, with people claiming the game was haunted or cursed.

that said, this is clearly someone's passion project, and that really shines through. it clearly porrtrays a vision, unmuddled by anyone else's ideas or sensitivities.

it really is a niche, art youtube channel, just with minigames.

"Mariam Game" is a very sloppy, badly made "horror" mobile app, and the horror is that the mobile dev who made this though it would be okay to put something this poor quality up on Steam.

There's a couple of minigames like a Vampire Survivor ripoff and some extraordinarly badly written narrative, but all you'll see when trying to play this is just how bad the mobile port is.

This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises.

This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
