Hi all o7

Quite a cool game I must say!
I wanted to go through all the levels, so I played it on the easiest setting, but I can imagine how challenging it can get on the harder ones!

LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE! o7

"COS-249" is -0.35836794954. However, it's also an SCP-esque "job simulator" game where you have to survive in a room full of SCP influenced objects and entities, which involves basic FNAF tier platespinning... could have been a mobile app.

The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers.

Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), we can be fairly sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail.

There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets of any level of quality usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too.

Next is pricing and what value this has for gamers.

This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too.

Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library?

This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
