Lofi Aquarium pairs a productivity timer with idle fish farming—raise virtual aquatic pets to maturity, then sell them for currency while studying or working to ambient lofi music. The game offers light progression mechanics and achievement hunting for players seeking a low-stress background companion, though user reports suggest technical issues and balance problems may hinder the experience.
About this game
"Lofi Aquarium" is a gamified focus tool designed to enhance concentration and relieve stress. As you work, a group of adorable baby fish will keep you company, all set to soothing lofi music. Over time, the fish grow and can be sold for profit.

Poor grind balance. Poorly coded, many glitches. too repetitive, zero communication from the devs. I got this expecting a 2.5D rotatable fishtank but it's just a background with sprites above it. Lots of errors, sometimes when you sell fish, it doesn't even pay you for them, and you can even crash the game if you click the buy button too fast. There don't seem to be any plans to fix anything, as the devs have been radio silent since the games release. It's EXTREMELY grindy, Expensive Fish WILL pay you back with more money, but you need to GROW the fish to sell them, and they do not return enough points to upgrade the EXP gain stuff. You're repaid with money that is mostly useless because buying more expensive fish just makes them take way more time to grow, which means significantly more grinding.
Literally the best way to speed up EXP boost is to keep buying and selling the most basic fish there are, and even then, it's still at a snails pace. in my 200+ hours of grinding, I can only generate 7x the amount of EXP as I could at the start of the game, and it would still require an hour of constant EXP farming just to get a lvl 3 or higher fish to grow, and again, it rewards you little aside from money, which is not an issue at all
Holy squid soup, how the hell did I end up here??? It reeks in the most bizarre intense way of rotten fish as if a truckload of expired surströmming had been dumped onto a field of manure, while I’m standing right next to it... *gaggh* ...way too close to it, my stomach is already protesting. This won't be a long review, I promise. I have to get out of here before it gets really ugly.
Regarding the cough-syrup-soaked name LitheGame, I found a profile on itch.io but under a different name (budabuda) *facepalm* ...where apparently the same person, once again using yet another name (bobo) *oof* wrote the following: "Thank You for Trying My Game! Hi everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to try my game, Lofi Aquarium. Your feedback and support mean a lot to me, and I really appreciate it. I'm excited to hear what you think..."
Dear bobo *sigh* your lovingly-loveless AI-generated lines inspired me to dedicate this review to you and I feel truly honored to give you a bit of feedback. I know how excited you are to hear something like this. So let me share straight from the bottom of my heart, that I despise and curse your AI game with every fiber of my body.
Your DISCLOSURE OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT legitimately entertained the hell out of me. I have not laughed this hard in a long time, was lying on the ground like a bug and my eyes were tearing up. “…followed by human optimization and remaking…” Did you learn this special talent of twisting the truth from Donald Trump? Or was that ChatGPT’s idea? Probably along the lines of: “If you want, I can also create something for your Steam shop page that doesn’t sound like everything was made with AI, if you’d like?” Impressive. NOT.
“…the final artwork is entirely crafted by hand…” Highly questionable to say the least, I honestly suspect that even the entire game code was AI-generated, which would at least explain the insane amount of bugs and glitches. Too bad there was no making-of or similar material on your YouTube channel called 橘子尊 (Venerable Orange) *eyeroll* ...but then again watching someone type prompts isn’t exactly exciting. And on your X account you describe yourself as a “…lover of cute & healing games…" To me the whole thing stinks and I genuinely feel sorry for everyone who was naive enough to give you their money.
Yea I know I said this wouldn’t be a long review but how the hell am I supposed to rant about yet another disgusting, dishonest AI game in just a few sentences? In the end it always comes down to the same thing, tech bros chasing even more money and power, while AI is clearly not being used in the interest of humanity and we’re not really benefiting from it either. So let me put it in one sentence: stop this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, regulate AI, don’t buy this kind of crap and support real artists.
