First of all, I'm not typically into puzzle games, especially those focused on memory or time management. What drew me to this game was strictly its horror elements, and after getting half-addicted to this game, I will share my thoughts.
One of the first things I noticed was the very impressive cross-over between genres here, it just hits a broad collection of niches — at it's core, a casual puzzle game that's memory-based, and then touching different areas like horror, the management part of it, it rewards strategic gameplay and it's perfect for speedrunners too.
Upon launching the game, I immediately noticed very impressive physics of the game, nearly everything seems to fall into place how you intend it to. If you tilt or rotate an object in any certain way, you can sort of imagine how it will fall or land, and that is mostly how it actually ends up falling/landing, almost satisfying to experience. This also furthers the immersive part of the experience in Clean Your Room.

As for the optimization of the game, it is not perfect. It felt okay, but I was not very satisfied with the performance compared to the visual experience. I had to downscale a good amount before reaching a comfortable amount of FPS.
Now, as I mentioned, I am not very familiar with puzzle games and have never really considered them of any interest, yet this game managed to keep me hooked. That's a really good job from the developer. This means there's probably players with more interest in the specific genre that will find even more joy than I did, and I got very hooked to it.
If you ended up here because you're an experienced horror player looking for the next big scare, I do not think you will end up satisfied. It could maybe work as a good starter game, if you're just getting into horror games and want some subtle scares and a slightly eerie atmosphere, otherwise not.
I found that the controls are very intuitive and well-designed overall. Pretty easy to get the hang of everything, making it easy to pick up and play. One thing that did bother me a lot was the lack of a option for adjusting the in-game sensitivity, which forced me to lock my mouse DPI with external software, that's never really ideal. I actually see this often in indie horror games, specifically the ones where it's played as FPS, but you are rotating an object when "inspecting" it. I'm not sure if it's actual technical restrictions causing it, it just seems like a recurring theme in the indie-horror space for some reason.
Clean Your Room blends genres well, offering a casual memory-based puzzle with pretty subtle horror elements & management and even sets a good scene for speedrunners. It impressed me with its physics, makes interactions feel intuitive and satisfying. While it's probably not what hardcore horror fans are seeking, it might be a good entry-level horror game. Controls are easy to learn, and I found the game to be very immersive, almost addicting. I'm happy I got the chance to play this, despite typically not playing this specific genre. If anyone is into memory-based puzzle games, I definitely think they will be satisfied with Clean Your Room.
