Puzzletrunk is an evolving treasure-trove of challenges, riddles and interactive-oddities designed to stimulate that slab of grey-matter nestled behind your eyeballs.
Hark and such! This month, we've brought Puzzletrunk to Steam for the first time via a new, timed Demo. This will help us test various Steam bits and pieces whilst we prepare for a full release later in the year. Welcome to Oberon's Theatre. For January we've partnered with AP Thomson and Fellow Traveller to bring you an exclusive, currently unavailable elsewhere demo for Titanium Court. Complete this month's puzzle by escaping from Oberon's Theatre, and a key for the demo is yours immediately. If Titanium Court hasn't landed on your radar yet, be sure to have a gander; the game is something special, backed up by the fact it's just been nominated for no less than FOUR IGF Awards. Complete this month's puzzle by escaping from Oberon's Theatre, in a spin on the classic Text Adventure format. Stuck? Use the Hint syntax 'clue for backstage \' to get hints via Discord.
Greetings! It is our first Steam post for Puzzletrunk, as we start warming things up for our eventual Steam release. The Steam version is still being worked on. Alongside designing brand new puzzles, we are working back through the archives and fixing, iterating and polishing old ones. Puzzletrunk is developed at breakneck speeds on a very aggressive monthly timeline, and so we want to take the adequate time for the full Steam release to tighten up everything that's come before. Keen to play before then? Our (mostly) monthly puzzles are available via Itch, with our latest - Windows - having dropped just today. Solve it before 11.59 BST on April 27th and you can guarantee yourself a copy of Pantaloon's partnered game for April: Windowkill. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2726450/Windowkill/ In the meantime, if your brain is craving more puzzle-food, our psycological narrative puzzle game Sub-Verge launches on May 1st. The game has just been selected as an official title for LudoNarraCon 2025, and will be launching directly into the show. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3487020/SubVerge/ We'll have more to share soon, but for now, let us know what you think of this month's puzzle, furnish us with any other feedback you might have, and please chuck the game a wishlist if you can - this helps us hugely. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3158160/Puzzletrunk/
Hark! It is time we made some noise. The house of misfits is open. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/44101319/919f8f8bdecbda50f3f0dad8ecc915dd4c602939.jpg Pantaloon is broadening its mission of platforming bold and bizarre games by moving into the world of original publishing, as we seek to become a home for misfits with our new game label. First order of business? We’re bringing three (!) games to market this year, and are now actively looking to sign more weird and wayward games to bring to our label of misfits. Before looking at our first titles, some context: I will submit that the world does not need another indie publisher, but the Pantaloon Label is driven by a different vision, with a combination of philosophies, terms and technologies (no, not that one) that will make it stand out. We’re currently hard at work on a platform that will underpin our new label, and will be unveiling this later in the year. Our newsletter - now approaching 30k subscribers - will remain the Sun around which everything else will orbit. We’ll still be providing the most unreasonably delightful mailing list in games, we'll still be offering up games from incredible partners each month, and we'll still be curating and championing the best from the frontlines of the indie. What we'll also now be doing is weaving email more deeply into the way we operate as a game label, with a plethora of exciting initiatives we'll be lifting the lid on over the course of the year. The newsletter is at the heart of it all. Sign up! Let me show you. Onto more interesting things! The games! The first title under our new label is Sub-Verge; a psychological narrative puzzle game from Interactive Tragedy, and a title that builds a fascinating bridge between puzzles and story. Sub-Verge marks Zach Dodson’s transition as a novelist (and owner of a book publishing house) into the world of games. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/44101319/e383677e666d4e7e3ee1481e10dbd71e8d41f4b2.jpg We’re als...
