Calling all foodies!!
FINALLY a tasty little idler filled with delectable food for us to sink our teeth into *om nom nom*
This is reminiscent of 'Cafe World' by Zynga for me, but improved. I love the farm to table concept and how you get to passively run everything (with some active features if you so wish, like watering and harvesting crops, interacting with customers etc). You can even visit other people's cafes!!
There is some hands on time required for planting crops, unlocking/upgrading new appliances, hiring staff, setting the menu, decorating and renovating. But it is all up to you. You can tackle all of those things on your own time. Don't feel like being active, no problem! Open up shop and watch the magic happen. You can sit back watching the farmers tend to the crops and animals, the chefs whipping up all sorts of treats in the kitchen or the servers tending to a wide array of cute customers.
You earn money during this time. There are quests to work on to unlock new menu items and decorations. Speaking of the decorations, there is so much choice and customization available at baseline. The customers leave star ratings and reviews at the end of service.
The music is varied and calming and I especially like how you can pick the backdrop to your restaurant. I like how it changes depending on the time of day or weather. There are ambient sounds as well such as dishes clinking, food being harvested and cooked up, doors opening and closing... it feels very lively!!
It’s so corny but my favourite part is that you can click on the food being served to customers for a close up picture of the creation and my little glutton self is just drooling :P
This is the first idler I have played that has successfully captured the restaurant management vibe. This game is so very cozy and satisfying thus far.
