Not a bad attempt at a horror game. I do like the animations that were made for cutscenes. Monster AI is a little bland and predictable.
I like the monster design, he's a bit weird.
Look forward to seeing improvement in future games.
Short horror experience that feels to similar to other titles.
The game follows Michael, a simple guy who sold his house and purchased a mobile home to spend more time outside. His other passion is to visit mysterious places. However, one of these forests hide something more.
You will not have to deal with sophisticated controls because this is a walking sim. You can only walk, run, interact, pick up items, and use a flashlight. The same "simplicity" applies to gameplay because you are constantly given a specific goal to do.
Although the game takes set in a forest, which could imply open area and the freedom to roam wherever, this is not true. You can only go where the game allows you to go so there are invisible walls everywhere. While the game frequently blocks a path that was previously available with "I do not have to go there," this did not bother me too much because the game is intended to be a linear experience after all.
The objectives begin with simple camping tasks such as gathering stones and branches for a fire. Items have a small glow surrounding them, making them easy to stop, particularly at night.
However, everything is quite simple and lacks excitement. There are no logical puzzles or challenges. The only tricky part is when you have to look for branches and run back to the fire when the creature appears.
The entire thing takes less than an hour to complete. There are no notes, discoveries or twists; it is just one guy running from a creature and attempting to survive the night. The price is also pretty high, so I suggest the game only at a heavy discount.
Keep up the good work man, I liked the game. I wish there was more of a build up before you meet the monster, and it was pretty short. Over all I enjoyed it. If you're interested check out my vid: https://youtu.be/0eT4jWA1FpE
