Crony Corp tasks you with building interconnected factories and managing production recipes across a player-driven marketplace where you compete against rival corporations. The game combines factory automation with real-time market dynamics, though early access issues with UI scaling, timer-gated construction, and incomplete premium currency systems currently hamper the experience. Best suited for players patient with early-stage games who enjoy economic simulation and supply chain optimization.

I really wanted to like this game, but it’s just a mobile game on Steam. Building factories or warehouses requires waiting on timers, so if you want to construct something you’ll be sitting for five minutes or more. Recipes are also tied to timers, which means even more waiting, unless you spend money in the in-game store to skip them. The truck animations are poorly done too; they don’t use the roads you build, instead driving randomly all over the map. On top of that, the store page never mentions that this is basically a mobile game, and to make matters worse, you’re forced to create a username and password just to play. Overall, I can’t recommend this game.

I tried the game for all of 10 minutes,

I couldn't get it into full screen and the resolution doesn't even change.
The UI is wayyyyyy to big.

I will say this and this is the only reason I'm going to give this game a chance and review my review later on...
The concept, controls, and mechanics of the game has massive potential!
But this UI issues need to be fixed because the actually "Play Area" of the screen is small and taken over by clunky UI that can't be changed.

I understand it's early access and just been released, but I can't play a game like this.

I will keep an eye out for an update and looking forward to giving the game another chance as this type of game is something I look for, but right now it needs some more work.

So it is an early release and it is free so there is really no harm in trying it.

That being said it is too early of a release. Much of the gameplay is broken to the point of not playable.

The premium currency can not be purchased currently. This limits a number of things hidden behind a paywall. You can't manufacture several of the top end things (dynamite, uranium, etc.) which are required in production lines for even the smaller things (Dynamite is required to mine). Also since you sell from the warehouse, your warehouse fills up extremely quick and you can only set the auto sell for a single item. If you send other items to the warehouse it fills up and everything shuts down. Additional auto sales are timed behind a paywall - but that currency is not in game.

So is it fun? I think so, but its broken to the point of near unplayable. Once they put the currency in game it will be extremely pay to win - and take away what makes it fun. Lots to work out, would make a great game - but I don't think this is going to get there.

Steam UI Update

Hello Everyone! Now that Crony Corp has been released on both iOS and Android, it's time we turn our attention back to the Steam version. To start, we created an exclusive UI for the Steam version Crony Corp. It still retains the same basic look and functionality, just scaled back, and windowed: On top of updating the UI, we've also fixed the Display Options. All compatible resolutions and refresh rates should now be available. Fullscreen now properly works as well. We fixed a few other UI bugs in the process, like not being able to properly close the Daily Rewards panel, and also added a Quit button. Alt F4 no more. That pretty much wraps up everything included in this update! Stay tuned for upcoming announcements in regards to what comes next!
