Update 1.2.0: 15 Languages, the Whole World Map and Rivals That Grow Stronger

Generals, Two updates in one post: 1.1.1 made every New World Order a harder war, and 1.2.0 brings the game to fourteen new languages and fills in the map. Everything here is new since 1.1.0. New: 15 LANGUAGESGeneral Idler can now be played in:EnglishDeutsch (German)Français (French)Italiano (Italian)Español (Spanish, Spain)简体中文 (Simplified Chinese)العربية (Arabic)کوردی (Kurdish Sorani)Українська (Ukrainian)Русский (Russian)日本語 (Japanese)한국어 (Korean)Nederlands (Dutch)Polski (Polish)Čeština (Czech) The game starts in your Steam language. To change it, open Settings → LANGUAGE: every language is listed in its own name, and the switch takes a second. Your campaign is saved first.Everything is translated: menus, the war dossier, tech tree, requisitions, the news ticker, the rivals' taunts, the scenarios and every country name on the map.Numbers follow your language too: decimal and thousands separators, and the "per second" in every rate.Arabic and Kurdish are written right to left, including the country names on the map. These translations are brand new. If a line reads wrong in your language, please tell us in the community discussions with a screenshot, and we'll fix it.New: the whole world on the mapGreenland, Antarctica and 35 smaller territories (Puerto Rico, New Caledonia, the Falklands, the Faroe Islands, Bermuda and more) used to show as open sea. They are now drawn as land, in every map view but none of them are extra countries to conquer, so the world is still 195 nations, so it wont break the current leaderboards and saves. New in 1.1.1: the RIVAL THREATMany of you said a New World Order replays the same war. Now every New World Order raises the Rival Threat by one level, up to 7, and the rival generals come back stronger each time:They earn more and conquer more often: up to four countries a turn at the top level. They can grow bigger empires: up to 110 countries each, instead of 40.Land a rival holds is defended: each level adds 25% to the Army Power you nee...

Update 1.1.0: Scenarios, a Scenario Editor and Steam Workshop

Generals, Many of you told us the campaign needed more variety. Update 1.1.0 is our answer: a whole new mode, the tools to build your own wars, and a way to share them. Everything here is new since 1.0.5. New: SCENARIOSA separate mode on the main menu. Each scenario is one war with its own starting map, its own rivals and its own goal. Your campaign is untouched: scenarios have their own saves and never affect your campaign progress, achievements or leaderboards.ENCIRCLED (HARD): Switzerland, ringed by three rival generals in France, Germany and Italy. Break the ring.ISLAND NATION (NORMAL): New Zealand, the most remote nation on Earth. Hop the Pacific and build an empire of thirty nations.COLD WAR (HARD): two blocs, America and Western Europe against Russia and Central Asia. The first to 100 countries wins.LAST STAND (VERY HARD): you hold only Uruguay, surrounded by three empires. Hold 40 countries before any of them reaches 100.Goals are eliminating every rival, holding a number of countries, or conquering the world. Some scenarios can also be lost, if a rival grows too big first. New: the SCENARIO EDITORPress + NEW in the scenario list, or COPY any scenario to start from it.Paint the map for yourself and up to three rivals, and place every home.Rename any country and give it any flag in the game.Merge countries into one: an Iberian union, a pan-Nordic state, an overseas empire.Set the goal, a defeat limit and the doctrine: fixed, none, or the player's choice.Set each side's starting cash, industries and army, and your starting tech and medals.Write the briefing and the victory and defeat texts.Press PLAY to test it at once. Your scenarios are saved as small files, and FOLDER opens them if you want to share them by hand. New: STEAM WORKSHOPSelect one of your scenarios and press PUBLISH. The map picture taken when you last saved it becomes its preview, and difficulty and goal tags are added automatically. Press UPDATE to publish a new version of it.Scenarios you sub...

Update 1.0.5: AUTO-INVADE, armies on the map, and every fix since launch

Generals, This is our first post since launch, so it covers everything from 1.0.0 to 1.0.5. A lot of it came straight from your reviews, forum threads and messages. Thank you, and keep it coming. NewAUTO-INVADE. Unlocked by your first Nuke, a switch on the ARMY tab. When your Army Power reaches 3× the cost of the cheapest country in reach, it invades for you (1.5× with Global Infrastructure). Auto conquests skip the popup, so the map keeps flowing.Your army on the map. Zoom in on a target and your army appears as war-table miniatures, massing at the border while Army Power builds, with ships for sea crossings. When the country falls, they march in.Standing orders on right-click (X on a controller), with numbered badges on the map. The queue now fires whichever order is ready first.Find the last countries. An N LEFT list with search, a FIND NEXT button, rings on every remaining country in the endgame, and selecting a country now zooms to it. Tiny islands get a small dot so they never disappear. The Nuclear Option briefing. Before your first Nuke, a one-time card explains what resets, what you keep, and when a Nuke pays off.MAKE THIS OUR HOME. Until a cycle's first conquest you can move your capital to any free country. You in the rival strip. GENERAL IDLER now leads the strip, and clicking any empire takes you to it. Progression and rivalsA New World Order now keeps whole tech branches instead of scattered nodes.Rivals start on better homes and expand within minutes. Some used to sit boxed in for half an hour.A siege that ended while the game was closed no longer slows you down.Rival milestone taunts no longer repeat. Map and visualsCountry names stay readable on any color: the lettering switches between dark and light exactly at the coastline.Darker, bolder ink on all the paper documents.Map corrections: several parts of the world appear as gaps in the map, now all fixes & redraw. Political view colors are solid, and map pulses follow the Political and Satellite color...
