Welcome to Bunny Farm strips idle gaming down to its essence: you start a work cycle and let your bunny employee handle farm tasks while you're away. Visiting animals occasionally appear for interaction, adding light social elements to the passive loop. It's best suited for players who prioritize aesthetic charm and relaxation over complex mechanics, though the limited item systems and AI behavior suggest the game is still rough around the edges.

I'm recommending this game with a few caveats that I will touch on later.

If you go absolutely ballistic for bunnies the way that crazy cat ladies do for, well, cats, you will enjoy most of your time with this game.

Otherwise...

it'll feel far more like a demo than a fully fledged game. I personally think that's okay, not *just* because I fall into the aforementioned category of really liking bunnies as a species, but because it's hard to complain about a short idle game for the price of absolutely nothing. The art looks nice, the music is good enough that even someone such as myself that's really sensitive to the same track being looped found myself only being bothered with it by the third hour of it looping. And for most of the time that I *did* play it, it scratched the itch that every idle game sets out to scratch. More on that later.

The game is not without its faults. The English translation has some noticeable grammatical issues, some of the text flows into areas it likely was not intended to flow into, and interactions with certain NPCs are broken. My biggest gripe with the game, one which I feel is a pretty good sign of any game, is that I really wished there was more to this game that there appeared to be. To explain why, I fear we must delve into dreaded numbers.

The playtime on record is how long it took me to 100% the game, as far as I can tell. I completed all the goals that were available to me, grew both types of crops, (yes, both. I was only ever given access to 2 types of plant) interacted with every NPC as well as I was able to, (the bunny that sells decor items broke and stopped showing me the menu to buy from her, but instead showed me another NPC's menu) and gave each of said NPC gifts for long enough to find out there doesn't seem to be any reasoning for why they "like" one gift or another. I say all of this being genuinely not sure if there was more to the game, because one of the NPCs mentions research to unlock new crops, but you never gain the ability to do so with that NPC. My guess is that because they all show up randomly as you start/stop the growing process, you're meant to just...keep doing that until they eventually come back and are like, "oh, here's the new crops you can plant."

Also of note is that my playtime was spread across two sessions of nearly 4 hours and 90 minutes, and that the first session was about 20 minutes longer than it needed to be for me to 100% this game, because I forgot to tell the bunny to start growing again when I swapped to another app. Yeah, this is an idle game where you have to quite often start and stop your bunny from growing things in order to progress. I think I get what the devs were getting at, but the implementation was clunky to say the least.

All in all, I think this is more of a proof of concept and I would not be recommending this if they charged for it. That said, I hope this is not the last time LetsunnyGames makes a cute animal themed idle game, because if they learn from their experience with this game, then I'll happily pay for whatever they make next.

The idea of the game is sweet but the execution lacks sustenance. Like items, things you dig up serve no purpose, same with the gifting system. The game just needs some polish, maybe some work to not make the bunny's AI so frustrating to look at
