This is a desktop overlay clicker rhythm game. That is a combination I never thought I would see.

It is branded a bit like a background idler, but I think it is more like a clicker title, since you earn XP by clicking and have to stay on your PC clicking around. So leaving the game running while AFK won’t get you anywhere. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just felt like pointing it out.

This game has two ways of leveling up. You can either let it run while doing things on your PC, or you can play one of the many songs the game has.

While the first option is a good choice, it does seem to conflict with mouse click registration sometimes, at least it did for me, and I had to double and sometimes triple click on my PC to navigate Steam while it was running.

The rhythm game is actually pretty fun. I played a few songs and while none of the songs are that difficult, it was fun playing a rhythm game again, they are a rare sight. The way it works is similar to Guitar Hero, but you only have one button and one lane. This is also why even the hard mode songs are pretty easy, since it is limited how much you can really do with just a single lane of notes.

When you level up, you unlock new avatars. There is a total of 9 unlockable avatars and each has their own set list of songs. So there is actually quite a big song list.

It isn’t the best background overlay game I have tried, but I have to give it credit for the creativity. It has to be the only game of its kind. The developer is also only asking 2 bucks for it, so I will gladly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to burn some time on.

This is a fun little background game that runs in a small window on your screen and rewards you with experience points for everything you do on your computer. It tracks your activity through both mouse clicks and keyboard inputs. Naturally, typing earns you more experience, especially if you do a lot of writing, but the best way to play is to forget it’s there and let it quietly accumulate experience throughout the day.

A handy scale button lets you shrink the game’s window down to the size of a desktop icon, so you can tuck it away in a corner without it getting in the way. Even at full size, the game is unobtrusive and won’t interfere with your workflow. Of course, you can even hide it and play something else.

The game motivates you with rewards as you stay active. Filling the experience bar levels you up, and while each new level requires more clicks and keystrokes, milestone levels unlock new themes and animations that react to your activity. You start with a cat massaging a fish, and later unlock a singing panda, dancing businessman, and a bunch of others. There are nine themes in total, though unlocking them all takes time.

Even better, each theme includes ten songs. These must be unlocked using bubbles, but you earn a generous batch of bubbles with every level-up. While each song costs a different number of bubbles, once purchased, it’s available to play any time. The only downside is that songs are split into Easy and Hard difficulties, and you have to unlock each difficulty separately.

The songs themselves are rhythm mini-games, where you click or press keys when icons fall into marked zones. Hard mode increases both the number and complexity of these patterns. Hitting perfect notes earns you extra bubbles and a spot on the global leaderboard. However, the final grade doesn’t really matter. There are no tough achievements tied to performance, and you can unlock everything simply by playing each song in each theme at least once.

Love this, simple and funny. The character and bars responds to your clicks and keyboard taps, as well as many music or sound playing. Nice game to have around when working and listening to music. When bored or taking a break you can switch to playing the rhythm game. There's quite a few character themes as well as their corresponding music to unlock.
