Hi all! PlinkIdle is back with some major updates and changes. We have a new designer on the team! Dan's amazing, and he's already brought a wonderful fresh perspective to PlinkIdle. We've been collaborating closely on some exciting changes, and every day it feels like the game is growing into something even more special.Upgrades have gotten the biggest pass for this update.Cooldown SkillsAnything with a cooldown is now a Skill, and Skills are free instead of having a flat cost. They no longer sit in the upgrade list; their buttons are super simple and pinned above the drop button so you won’t miss them when they become available.Pegs!Pegs are now pinned to their own widget and spread out very differently. Instead of a random peg upgrading at any point, pegs unlock new colors (tiers) as you progress through the game. They will also cost different currencies as the game progresses.Drop ZonesNow the auto-ball drops from one of three zones: left, center, and right. Center is unlocked in the first stage, but the other two come later. When the others unlock, 3 balls drop automatically instead of one. The manual drop button still drops from a random point.Achievement WheelNow with a progression ramp and tempering randomness with eventual reliability. It takes fewer achievements to spin the wheel in the beginning. And, each time a reward is claimed, it won't come up in the next spin... you will get that +Max Bucket eventually!Polish• Upgrades won’t appear on the list until they’re 1 stage away from being unlocked. The list is much less overwhelming and a little more surprising this way.Known IssuesThere are some known issues while we rapidly work through the updates.Localization is broken. Everything except English is wonky right now. Pardon our appearance while we get our ducks in a row.Several achievements went missing due to a bug. That should be fixed in the next update.Buffs still need a balancing pass.
We finally got that ball rarity reset bug fixed. You can now safely change stages without losing your ball rarity investment! The UI will no longer break (app version, not web version) when the window is resized, or when playing on a large monitor.Pegs no longer give infinite coins if you trap balls. Just a few boops and they stop giving coins to a ball that is trapped. There should no longer be any issue hitting the Drop Button. Some people were having trouble clicking it.
