Rotten Crop is an atmospheric horror game based on the lost game "That Evil Farming Game". Can you hide what you've done from your neighbors and the police? More importantly... can you live with it?

I really wish there was a neutral option for steam.
Rotten Crop has an interesting concept and the visuals match the vibe of the story.
The only issue I really had was it is extremely difficult to not get spotted in the cornfield. The line of sight of the officers are the same as the one patrolling your home, so due to this, you cannot see them quick enough and end up getting spotted without being able to see them yourself.
Overall I would really like to like this game, but due to the slow movement and quick time to get spotted, I had gotten too frustrated to finish the final week (level).
If you like PSX graphics and a concept that isn't too in depth but interesting I recommend you give it a chance. Maybe you'll be able to stick with it to see the ending.
This game is horrible for the main reason being that you can only walk and the other reason being that you get spotted out of nowhere and the police have super vision and can see you out of their line of sight or through the wheat field. The thing I don't understand is why no run mechanic was added to the game when you NEED to AVOID the cops patrolling around or why the line of sight of the officers was not tweaked to where it is to the point of seeing you out of nowhere.
The game is well designed in some aspects beyond those two things but it feels like the dev didn't play test the game for quality
I really gave this a shot and it started really strong and promising but the gameplay loop ended up being more of a chore than an actual game? idk if you are just going to respond and say skill issue like the last guy but i really genuinely gave this a chance. but seeing you respond to the reviews with "get good" / "skill issue" is a little uninspiring and in poor taste. this really had a chance of being cool and i appreciated the time and detail put into it. until i read the response to the review that honestly has some good criticism that was similar to what i was going to say. anyways might just be a "skill issue".
Got a small but important update for you! I want to talk a little about obsession. Sometimes it's the only thing that keeps you going, whether it's an obsession with an idea, with work… or with a person. Is it a good idea to follow it? I doubt it, but then again, only time can tell. Still, it makes for a great horror story theme. And speaking of obsession - it's also the theme of an awesome collaboration with the Obsessed game series! To celebrate, you can grab the Obsessed series together with Rotten Crop at a 20% discount! Get ready to feel what it's like to be driven by obsession and what it's like to be its target...
Thank you very much to everyone who played and left their comments! After them, I decided to make a few changes:- On the 5th week, a saw appeared under the bed, so that u wouldn't have to run every time.- The Bush-Neighbor now works according to unique rules and has its own cutscene, and in general should be activated less often.- Improved object physics, now knives will get stuck less often- Tutorial in the utility room is no longer confusing- Tutorial in the basement is now a little more obvious- Added the Child Play achievement, it was really asking for it.- Added 4 new languages.- Police officers began to see noticeably worse.- And even more small changes designed to simplify the game...The following bug fixes were also made:- You can no longer get out of the basement if you locked yourself in, accept death!- Fixed the tree that everyone was tripping over- Weekly achievement, now correctly awarded on the third- You can now get objects out of the barrel if you dropped them there- The Morbid Engineering and You're doing it wrong achievements can now be correctly obtained.P.S. I hope I managed to reduce the difficulty without depriving the game of a challenge. I will wait for your amazing comments ^_^
My interpretation "That Evil Farming Game" is finally out! I tried to do everything to make the atmosphere as oppressive as possible, I hope I succeeded. We did not find the game, but I hope my interpretation will please the community at least a little.
