Panoptyca layers a four-view battle system atop traditional idle RPG progression, letting you command heroes through combat, gear enhancement, and leveling while the game accrues resources offline. The core loop involves managing your commander's growth through quests and hero development, though significant quality-of-life features like auto-opening chests remain behind a paywall. It's built for passive play but marred by aggressive monetization and persistent online connectivity requirements that feel excessive for the genre.

EDIT They changed Idle Pass to Supply Pass and it still does the same thing, but they want to trick you into thinking it's not an Idle Pass. You still have to spend $8 if you want this game to fully be an Idler. $8 will: Auto Open chests. However, inventory can still become full with materials, etc.
EDIT #2 They apparently removed Auto Dismantle from the Supply Pass giving it to players for "FREE", but this wasn't disclosed in the patch notes so I'm not sure if true or not. However, you still have to pay $8 to Auto Open chests and $14 to alleviate death/other timers, and this be a reminder: There's limited amount of chests (can be increased later) you can have and you'll always be full of chests, leading you to lose/slow progression because you aren't there to open those chests yourself.
I cannot recommend. Even after their latest update and dev response, I still cannot recommend. It's advertise as an Idler and it is not an Idler. If people that say it's an idler, they are lying to you and themselves. Hard pass. Very fun game, sadly the game is in need ALWAYS ONLINE connection + it connects to multiple servers, (I stopped firewall banning at 80+ different IPs) for whatever purpose EVERY ~2minutes, probably some malware in disguise. This style game should never have this. [No offline progress] The best source of skill books and jewelry is the shop and they are random (gambling)
Another Idler with a great concept, nice and simple gameplay, but ruined by its execution and greed. As a Commander, manage your heroes; combat, equip gear, enhance gear, level up, do quests to keep leveling your Commander. They give you a lot of free diamonds, accessories, etc. to justify free to play. The game has a grind and that's okay, since it's an "Idler".
However, you cannot call this an Idler. You have to be actively playing the game to get anywhere, and to open chests. There's a limited amount of chests you can collect and the only way around auto open chest limitation is to purchase the Supply Pass (costs $8) which unlocks Auto Opening chests. And yes, you have to buy the SUPPLY PASS to unlock IDLE mechanics in the game. Pretty ridiculous you have to pay to Idle in a game called "Idle RPG Manager". Even then your inventory will get full and you have to TLC that as well.

There's now a Time Pass that's $14 and it removes time penalties from the game. For example, if you die there's a huge wait time to respawn, but if you pay for this pass it'll remove that.
@Dev Response: You can minimize monetization by making the game fully idle, rather than being forced to pay for those features. Otherwise, take "IDLE" out of the game's vocabulary. Also, I could care less about offline progression and the game being forced online only. Any decent idler would allow you to grind currency to purchase anything for free if we were willing to do the grind. I do not see that here.

@Dev Response #2: You claim there's too many aspects of the game that cannot be idled. I agree when it comes to equipping new gear, spells or assigning points to a Commander tree and even creating new characters; however, you're holding the MOST BASIC mechanics behind a paywall that should be free and does not require you to be actively playing. I'm not seeing the will to make Auto Open Chests available for free due to greed, and I'm not asking you to cater just to me, but for those that will see this isn't an Idler because you're holding ONE or TWO idle mechanics that should be free behind a paywall.
