Very cute, short and sweet, feels like theres more story to tell so maybe theres post-release content on the way? either way, im happy enough with what there is
The store page says 3-4 hours, but if you've already played the demo, the full game takes less than two hours to complete. i think the gameplay loop is fine, but it's not as meaty as i would have liked for it to have been.
Yeah, it's cute. It's short. You can have it run in the background while you play other stuff. I came in expecting a cute small experience where occasionally I look at my other monitor and my fox girl daughter needs head pats to recover from being mauled by enemies in a dungeon and got it. It's cheap. You can't really complain.
One of the things that was interesting to learn is gamemaker thought the spaces before punctiation like ?! from a french keyboard were special characters, but pasting that space into the fonts in gamemaker did not fix the issue. so i had to manually retype all the spaces before ?s and !s in the french collumn of the csv. the \n i used for new lines in text also didnt work, so i pasted the yen symbol which i added for the japanese version into those spaces in the french translation. in english, gamemaker considers \n to be a single character but for some reason it stops working with other languages.
few things for this update! Accented characters have been added to the default font (fredoka) so the guy wanting to translate the game to portuguese can do so now. text doesn't advance until you click now (except maybe the intro and ending text) gallery added containing the scenes for the first 5 bosses. the end can still only be accessed by beating floor 30 again.
