Art-Therapy: Diamonds recreates the meditative experience of diamond painting, where you place colored gems onto a canvas to complete pixel-art images. With no timers or pressure, optional bonus items that speed up your work, and a library of designs paired with soothing music and nature sounds, it's designed for players seeking a relaxing, self-paced creative activity rather than challenge or competition.

Well, when one sometimes does a bit of diamond painting in real life and then sees this one pop up in our lovely IndieGems curator, one must try it, right?! Right!

Overall, I can’t be angry at the game, nor do I see a reason to downvote it. It promises the cozy and chill experience. No timers, no pressure, and just a very laid-back, on-your-own-pace experience. Although, for me and my old bones, this doesn’t come without a but!

The constant clicking, square by square, and the lack of an accessibility option for this are a little off-putting and pretty much one of the small things that keep me from binge-playing it.
And sure enough, there are power-ups that provide some help, but letting it idle till the next power isn’t really fun, is it?
It’s also a little weird that when I scroll back on my scroll button, it’s zoomed in and towards its zoom-out. I wish I could swap that since this feels unnatural to me.
But those are pretty much the only two points I have a bit of beef with.

Besides that, I don’t really have that much to write about. Everything is functioning, the gameplay or how-to is very straightforward, etc. A pretty simple, yet enjoyable game

Overall, I’m happy to jump in and work on various-sized paintings. Just in short bursts of sessions. It’s pretty great to play on the side while listening to a podcast or a creepy pasta. Just brain off and pretty colours on. And if in doubt, at the time of writing this, there was still a demo, so if you like diamond painting irl or want to give it a try, go for it.
Just know that a constant clicking, square-by-square, is not comparable to holding a little tool irl. But hey, all good. It’s still fun, and the images I’ve completed so far are pretty; it makes me happy to see them finished. And I guess that counts for something. So, a careful thumbs-up for this one, it is.

A small one VS possible the biggest one of all levels:

Love this game, even more than the cross stitch game that is similar. There's bonus items to catch that help speed up your process, the eye one isn't great though, would be better if it highlighted in an easier to see color or stayed grey longer or flashed or something. That's the only nitpick I can think of though, it's a great game with a large variety of pictures.
