Dwarf Eats Mountain tasks you with mining gold and artifacts while upgrading your dwarves to tackle progressively larger mountains in this incremental clicker. The prestige system offers different upgrade paths, though players note the balance heavily favors certain builds and artifacts, leaving limited meaningful optimization once you find the dominant strategy. Best suited for those seeking an addictive early-game loop rather than deep long-term progression choices.

I might or might not have played this for 3 days straight instead of taking care of my other responsibilities. 10/10 would ignore my wife again

I think this has a lot of potential but i really cant recommend it. I spent way too long on this game without having fun.

Its too expensive for what it offers. Its extremely poorly balanced. Like legit, theres only 1 way to play. It gives you the illusion of builds by giving you prestige upgrades into certain dwarfs but you cant refund it so if you tried a run with Demo but now want to try Miners? Good luck, back to the grind.

The UI is unintuitive and the tooltips require SO MUCH MORE INFORMATION. I dont know what a "Transmutation Ritual" is, and the game never explains it. This happens so many times.
You also cant see what upgrades are available for the towers before you stumble upon it. I get the mystery but it just ends up being guesswork. Since you have "Mithrill" as a limited resource you cant gaurantee to get enough of, you kinda just haphazardly upgrade what you THINK might unlock something new and fancy but then get disappointed, run out of mithril so you have to prestige and start over just to see if you can explore something new.

I fell for sunk cost fallacy where i kept believing i was close to finishing the achievements but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ even after the ascension it was still slow as hell.

It's.. alright. Fun and kind of addictive initially, but there are basically no choices to make. I mean yeah, you can't really lose in incrementals, but here it feels like you can't really optimize much either. And once you get a certain artifact even the tiniest illusion of choice disappears, and you just keep clicking whatever buffs flamers as they're like 100x better than anything else. GNORP Apologue at least attempted to have different builds.

Just not worth the price, wouldn't have felt as bad picking this up on sale but for the release price there are better incrementals.

With some updates this could get better though.

(v1.4.0) Ritual hotbar and fixes

Added a ritual hotbar. Lists all the rituals in a pre-set order and shows their hotkeys, cooldowns and costs. You can click on them to cast them. You can drag the hotbar around by the left hand area, or click on it to hide/collapse it.Further hardened saves backup system against crashes/blackouts during prestige screen and other rare obscure ways that could cause the player to lose their prestige points. This was a lot of hard work that will hopefully actually bear fruit.Fixed an issue where the player could be locked out from input due to a bug from the Foundations of Stone upgrade.Buffed Denbreaker's Hail permanent damage increase when destroying a den from 0.2/0.4/0.6% to 0.4/0.8/1.2%.Further reduced the gold, mithril and soul costs of Nuclear Research.Megapick damage now scales diminishingly with miners, but the base damage is higher and there is no max cap.The odds of getting quest artifacts such as Philosopher's Stone are now slightly increased per mountain level.DPM/OPM panel positions now remain between prestiging.Fixed a few steam achievements sometimes not being properly awarded.Fixed some rare ritual cooldown loading bug that could make a ritual have days long CD.Fixed a few missing text elements, localization issues and typos.Fixed various tooltip issues and mismatches.Fixed a couple rare crashes.System preparations for future changes and upcoming localization support. ;)Other minor fixes and tweaks.

Endless Artifacts can now be right-clicked to be auto-picked each time after 5 seconds. Fixed the "Collect all artifacts" Steam Achievement not working due to endless artifacts. Fixed some Ascension save issues. Fixed Air Strike giving lower chance than it should. Fixed a potential crash

(v1.3.0.) Endless Artifacts, more QoF, Buffs and Fixes!

Added Endless Artifacts. These special artifacts can be endlessly dropped by all artifact yielding mechanics, after all non-T5 artifacts have been collected. There are 3 types: 1. gives +0.5% damage to all dwarves, 2. gives +0.5% gold value to all ores, 3. gives +1 PP. Added new T6 prestige upgrade: King Of The Spire - "Rank 1: When reaching The Great World Spire, the event now automatically starts after 10 seconds. (This was moved here from Primordial Hunger). -Rank 2: The Great World Spire no longer stops you from progressing if you're missing any artifacts. Requires Ascension Rank 1. Rank 2 requires Ascension Rank 5. Added two more ranks to the T6 prestige upgrade "Vault of Gods". Buffed Air Strike damage from 20% to 30% base (thus from 60% to 90% at T4 Nuclear Research). Air Strike rockets now use the Cannon's crit chance (it was static 5% before). Further improved how save file handling works, added a steam cloud rollback protection, and added another .sess.json save file type that keeps a snapshot of the save at session start, so that if all else fails, it at least reverts to that instead of the player losing everything. Alchemy result panel now automatically closes after 6 seconds. The "Delete Save" button and the "Begin Game" button in the prestige screen, now need to be held for a moment to prevent missclicks. Fixed bugs that could sometimes spawn duplicate artifacts. Fixed some GUI and Settings panel issues. Fixed Insatiable Guzzler sometimes working improperly after using Great Inhale ritual. Fixed other various minor issues, such as damage numbers not mirroring for wrecking ball, etc.
