Phantom Strike tasks you with finishing an abandoned match on a frozen server, unfolding through desktop interface manipulation and environmental storytelling. The game prioritizes atmospheric mystery and environmental detail over explicit narrative resolution, making it suited for players drawn to retro computing aesthetics and ambient exploration rather than plot-driven horror.

Dev, you inspire me SO MUCH. I hope we won't have to wait another 5 years because this game is a delight. Honestly, slightly worse than game.exe 1. However, it's a worthy game anyway and it was nice to immerse myself in desktop simulator. The story is told nicely and the attention to details is as excellent as before but what I really didn't like was the lack of hints. They might be bugged but it always shows me the same thing - "Play Phantom Strike" and that's it. The moment with downloading the driver almost killed me - I found it completely by chance. Everything else is wonderful and it's worth spending an evening playing this game.

The game is pretty decent as a virtual desktop environment, but as a horror/mystery game it's very lacking in story. Don't expect answers on why things are the way they are, just go through the rounds and get an ending.

Mediocre but there's worse ways to spend five bucks I guess.

I had played and loved It Takes a War, and when I saw a similar game be announced I became very excited for it! I still recommend the game, but currently it is a very barebones and limited experience. I hope the developer can take the experience from this game, and use it to maybe update it or build on it for a third installment of the series. E claro, Brasil mencionado, o que caralhos é um Winbox???

Update v1.3 - Anomalies...

Hi there! I've updated the game to version 1.3 with the following changes:Added “Anomalies” to Phantom Strike, as you progress through the game, more and more stuff will change inside the game, progressing through the rounds now is scarier and less repetitive. Boot up the game to find out what awaits you :)Previously to get the “SYSADMIN” achievement you needed to use all of the commands in the same terminal window, now progress towards this achievement is counted even on multiple terminal windows and sessions.I am still working on adding more content to the game, stay tuned for future updates expanding on the lore!- Luis Fellipe Amaro (Punx Studios)

Update v1.2 - Game balance and more quality of life updates!

Hi there! I've updated the game to version 1.2 with the following changes:Added the “I’m stuck” button on the Winbox menu, use this to get a tip to help you figure out a puzzleFixed a bug where you couldn’t use the tip on security modeNow events are not random anymore, they follow a specific order. This should help players get a more balanced experience (Let me know wether you like this change or if i should go back to how it worked before)Made it so you can use Tab to skip to the next input field on the Steamy login/register pageNow some programs can only have one window open at a time such as Skinamp, Steamy, etc.Added shortcuts to skip/go back (Right and left arrow) raise/lower the volume (Up and down arrows) and play/pause (Spacebar) for the Skinamp music playerWith most of the game's major functionality issues now resolved, I'll be turning my attention to the content itself. I've been closely following the feedback you've shared in reviews and discussions, and I'll be working on addressing many of your suggestions and concerns in future updates.I am open to ideas on how to add more content to the game, if you have any ideas for new puzzles, ways to expand the lore and suggestions on how to make the game feel more fleshed out please let me know in the comments of this post!- Luis Fellipe Amaro (Punx Studios)
