The game causes noticeable input lag — when I type quickly on my keyboard, I experience clear delays in response. This is a serious issue that affects usability outside of the game itself. I will not remove this review until the problem is fixed.

I Ended Up Refunding This Game, Here's Why
I was super excited about this gamified idler, but ultimately, I chose to refund it due to several QOL issues. I had high hopes for this one, because the concept is super unique and I love the idea of a farm that grows based on your typing inputs. The issues that I experienced with Typing Farmer were not huge dealbreakers in and of themselves, but all together, just added up to a more frustrating, rather than fun, experience.
First and foremost, if your keyboard does not precisely match the one on the screen in terms of buttons and layout, you will have lots of unusable crop spaces on your farm. This not only is not aesthetically pleasing, but frustrating in terms of gameplay as well.
Additionally, I have never felt more blind than when playing this game. There is little to no contrast between button colors and backgrounds, and it was frustrating having to spend time searching for the "X" button to close a submenu. I appreciate what the devs were trying to do with having the buttons and menu options "blending in with the farm," but given my next point, this proved to be a hinderance.
Even with following the tutorial, there was so much about this game that was unclear in terms of gameplay mechanics, understanding the slew of clickable/interactable objects and menus, etc. I think the translation really struggled in some places, and this made it difficult to understand what was going on given that the buttons/menus were not intuitive or easily understandable at-a-glance.
Lastly, the lag between key press and key animation is excruciatingly slow. I did a test where I would press a key on my keyboard and then count how long it took for the key to animate on my tiny farm, and the lag ranged between 2-10 (ten!) seconds. Given that other typing idlers like NoSlack Pets: Lo-Fi Paws and Bongo Cat are able to receive keyboard input and display keypress animation in real time, the severity of the lag for Typing Farmer left me laughing (in pain).
So, ultimately, I found these QOL issues to overpower my desire to keep the game. But again, it is such a fun and adorable concept, I just personally feel that the execution of the idea could really be improved in some areas to make the game less frustrating and more fun.
Summary:
1. Your keyboard must match the farm keyboard layout exactly or there will be unaesthetic, unusable crop space.
2. The buttons have little contrast and the UI is frustrating given that... (see next point)
3. The translation really struggles in some areas and the gameplay mechanics are not intuitive on their own.
4. The lag between keypresses and key animations is excruciatingly, laughably long.
