Desktop Dog Park is a low-pressure idle game that runs in a taskbar widget while you work, letting you passively accumulate coins to expand and decorate your virtual dog park. You unlock different breeds, manage basic care routines, and hire staff to automate operations as your park scales up. It's designed for players who want something to tinker with occasionally without demanding active engagement.
About this game
A chill desktop idle game where you build and decorate a dog park at the bottom of your screen. Collect coins, unlock new dog breeds, feed and play with them, hire an attendant, and watch your park grow while you work on other things.

I really wanted to like this chill desktop idle game where you build and decorate a park at the bottom of your screen. The idea of collecting coins, unlocking new breeds, and hiring an attendant while working on other things sounded great. I actually posted a detailed bug report in the discussions a whole month ago. I prefer to give developers a chance to fix things rather than just leaving a negative review right away. However, it has been a month with zero response and no updates, so it seems like they just don't care.
The game is currently full of frustrating bugs. The pets are constantly sick, and using the med kit only makes them healthy for a single second before they immediately revert right back to sick. There is also a major glitch with the upgrade system where buying the auto collect coin upgrade automatically marks auto clean park as owned too. Because of this, the park manager achievement is broken and will not trigger even when you currently own all the upgrades.
The idle mechanics themselves don't even work properly. Even if you have the upgrades, you still have to dig up all the poops manually. This gets especially frustrating when the poop lands on decorations or items because those spots become completely undiggable. On top of that, if you leave the game idle for a while, the attendant just wanders around instead of doing their job. They completely stop filling the food and water bowls, leaving all the dogs starved and dehydrated.
There are also basic features missing that make building your park a pain. Once you place decorations and items down, there is absolutely no way to pick them up or move them to adjust your layout. There is also no toggle to hide the game while it is running. It's a shame because the concept is fun, but I can't recommend a game that is left in this state.
Fixed New Game not fully clearing previous save data. Fixed purchased dogs sometimes appearing as owned after starting a new game. Fixed attendant upgrades not saving immediately after purchase. Improved save/load reliability for dog ownership, attendant abilities, and achievement progress.
v1.1.1 - Achievement Reliability & Balance Fixes Fixed several achievements that could fail to unlock after loading an existing save. All Achievements now remember progress between play sessions. Dog Lover and Park Manager should now unlock correctly for players who already earned them. Tree Hugger and Flower Power can now unlock from decorations already placed in the park. Progress-based achievements, like cleaning poop, watering dogs, playing fetch, and playtime, now continue properly after saving and reloading. Improved Steam achievement handling so unlocks are more reliable when Steam is still loading. Made poop sickness feel fairer: dogs now only get sick from nearby poop, not poop anywhere in the park. One poop is now more of a warning, while multiple nearby poops still need attention.
Fixed an upgrade issue where Auto Collect Coin could incorrectly mark Auto Clean Park as owned. Added a save migration and achievement recheck so Park Manager can unlock correctly for existing saves. Improved poop spawning so poop should no longer appear hidden under decorations or unreachable objects. Improved poop targeting so cleanup is easier when objects overlap. Improved the park attendant job system so food, water, and cleanup tasks are prioritized more reliably. Added Edit Park mode, allowing placed park items and decorations to be moved after placement.
