Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXAOLbmsbzI I LOVE this game! One of the things I love is the core weapon system. It’s an incremental scaling game built around three key tools: - Your sword, which is your main attack and comes in different elemental types to counter various enemies. - Your staff, which attacks passively in all sorts of creative patterns- straight lines from your cursor, sweeping horizontal beams, diamond-shaped bursts around the map, and so many more. - Your relic, which acts as a passive buff that shapes your build and playstyle There’s already a huge amount of variety in weapon types, elements, names, rarities, and visuals even in early game and it’s clear there’s so much more to come. The pacing of the levels is spot‑on. Just as you’re starting to tire of one enemy type, the game shifts you into the next area with fresh challenges. The difficulty ramps up nicely too; I’m on floor 15 now, and it’s getting properly tough in a way that makes upgrading and planning feel meaningful. The presentation is wonderful. The art is lovely, with a surprising amount of variety in the enemies you face. The music is gentle and complements the more relaxing style of gameplay perfectly. The sound effects and particle effects are incredibly satisfying without ever becoming overwhelming. Overall, it’s an amazing game; calming, stylish, and full of depth. I thought it would be simple at first, but the more I play, the more I appreciate how much thought has gone into it. I’m excited to keep climbing.

About this game
OVER THE TOWER is a hack-and-slash clicker game where you defeat enemies with simple mouse clicks. Collect coins to unlock upgrades, and equip the items you obtain to grow even stronger. What will you witness at the top of the tower…?
What players are saying
While the minimalistic story and retro aesthetic is charming, it never develops into anything meaningful or memorable. The game begins like many other incremental games, with a skill list (not a tree) and then loot, but quickly becomes a repetitive grind to find and upgrade loot and swap loadouts every level. You will spend more time upgrading, rerolling, and swapping in new gear than playing in order to push, because the skill list is easily maxed out far before the first "end" of the game. The simplistic "aim, shoot, collect" gameplay rapidly devolves into "move mouse in circle" as the screen is flooded with numbers, effects, and clutter. There is no variety in gameplay, no truly meaningful upgrades after your gear is filled in, and no major build variability. Additionally, there are no skill-based challenges (aiming, dodging, surviving, etc), no boss challenges, no loot goblins, and all of the "systems" (skills, loot, upgrades, rarity) are fully exposed and nearly completed within about 30-45 minutes. The dopamine hits fall off quick, and this kinda feels like an unfinished game.
OVER THE TOWER is an incremental (with caps) clicker game. This game felt better than it looked and while the style is charming, the item depth is really nice. On your way to the top of the tower you loot various type of items (swords, staves and relics) which boosts your stats and enables you to clear higher floors. You can actually make builds (albeit some stats are not very clear) and for the price, I did have a great time. The graphics are cute and the music while a little repetitive is really good for these type of games. The game even has some challenges when you reach the top of the tower and you will have to grind of a set of legendary items or make use of the synergies to complete said challenges. Overall, a short and sweet incremental game with caps, that turns into a little challenge at the end. Good game!
