A New Update for Idle Bookstore Demo

Hello, writers!Thank you so much for playing Idle Bookstore and sharing your feedback with us. We have been reading your comments carefully, and we have made several changes to improve the demo experience. Here are some of the biggest improvements:A More Meaningful Progression SystemSome players felt that the early game progressed too quickly and that there wasn't enough direction on what to work toward. To improve this, we replaced the previous leveling system with a new upgrade tree. Now, instead of simply gaining experience to unlock upgrades, you can complete small tasks to unlock new abilities and earn rewards along the way. This gives you more freedom to decide what you want to unlock and when you want to unlock it, while making your journey as a writer feel more natural and rewarding.A New Way to Sell Your BooksPreviously, if a book received a low score, it could be difficult to earn much from it. Now, you can choose to sell your books directly to publishers for a one-time payment. This gives every book a purpose and provides a reliable way to keep your bookstore growing — even when your latest book isn't quite a bestseller.Introducing the Music BoxWe added a new Music Box where you can play relaxing background music while writing your books and managing your bookstore. We also changed how you unlock wallpapers and music tracks. Instead of spending in-game currency, you can now complete fun challenges to unlock new customization options. We are also preparing to announce the official release date soon, along with a preview of everything coming in the full version.Thank you again for supporting Idle Bookstore. We can't wait to share more updates with you!Follow us on Steam to stay updated. ✨

Hi everyone!Quick hotfix update for the demo. Thank you for reporting these issues!Bug Fixes1. Mini Mode Save Bug Fixed Fixed a critical issue where, if you saved the game in Mini Mode, the bookstore would disappear when reloading the game, leaving players unable to continue interacting.2. UI Position Bug Fixed Fixed a bug where sub-menus would incorrectly spawn on top of the bookstore instead of appearing in the correct UI position.3. Tutorial Cursor Image Fix Fixed an issue where the hand cursor was incorrectly rendered as a white cube during tutorials.Sorry for the bugs and thank you for your patience!

Demo Update 0.6:Mini Mode and UI Scaling

Hi everyone! We are updating the demo with a few new features that many of you have requested. Thank you so much for continuing to share your feedback with us!New Feature: Mini ModeWe received a lot of feedback that the bookstore, especially with the wallpaper enabled, could take up too much space on the screen for a game designed to run while you work.So in this update, we added a new Mini Mode!In Mini Mode, the wallpaper is disabled, and you can position your bookstore anywhere on the screen. Combined with the ability to adjust the bookstore size, you can now fit your little bookstore neatly into the corner of your monitor. We hope this makes it much easier to keep the game running while you work, study, write, or do other things on your computer.New Setting: UI ScaleSome players told us that the UI text was too small and difficult to read on their screens. You can now adjust the UI Scale directly from the Settings menu, making menus and text larger when needed.Ultra-Wide Monitor SupportWe also received reports from players using ultra-wide monitors that the game did not always display correctly at certain screen resolutions. Now, when you start the game, it will try to automatically find suitable display settings based on your screen resolution. You can also manually adjust the Bookstore Scale and UI Scale settings, giving you more control over how the game looks on different monitors and resolutions. We hope these new features make the demo more comfortable to keep by your side while you work and play. And please keep sending us your thoughts! We truly appreciate every piece of feedback. It helps our small team understand what needs improving and make the game better step by step.See you in the bookstore!
