Hi everyone!Thank you so much for your feedback on the new staff management system! After the last update, we received some very helpful suggestions from players about how librarians could feel more useful and flexible. This update includes several improvements based on that feedback.Staff Improvement: Book Categories for LibrariansPreviously, after hiring a librarian, you could only ask them to stock one specific book you had written. This worked, but it was quite limited. Sometimes, players wanted librarians to stock books more evenly, or focus on books from the publishing system instead. So in this update, we added two new book categories when choosing what your librarian should stock:Random Player BooksPublishing BooksWith these new options, you can now ask your librarian to stock books from a whole category, making staff management much more flexible and useful.Bug Fix: Background BookstoresWe also fixed an issue where librarians would not automatically stock books for bookstores running in the background. Now, your staff should continue helping your bookstore properly, even while it is not the active one.Improvement: Consecutive Decoration PlacementSome players mentioned that decorating the bookstore could feel a little cumbersome when placing multiple items of the same type, because you had to select the same item again after every placement. Now, you can place the same decoration consecutively without reselecting it each time.Thank you again for trying the update and sharing your thoughts with us. Your feedback really helps us improve the game step by step.See you in the bookstore!
Hi everyone!Steam Next Fest is almost coming to an end. Thank you so much for trying our demo, playing with us, and sharing your feedback! In this update, we are adding two new features to the demo.New Feature: Hiring StaffOne of the biggest issues with the current demo is that the single-player experience can feel a little short and simple. More importantly, there was no automation, so players had to keep refilling bookshelves by themselves. With this update, you can now hire staff to help run your bookstore! You can hire librarians to stock books for you. They will take a small salary, but in return, they will help keep your bookstore running while you continue writing, decorating, or doing other things. You can also choose which book each librarian should stock, and spend money to upgrade your staff over time. There will be other types of staff in the future too, but they will be unlocked in the full game later.New Feature: Simple Player InteractionsWe also added a small multiplayer feature: simple player interactions. When we joined public lobbies and played with other players, we often found ourselves wanting to say simple things, such as:Saying hi when someone joins the roomSaying thanks when another player helps write your bookSaying congratulations when someone writes a legendary bookSaying goodbye before leaving the roomSo we added a few simple interaction buttons to help players communicate with each other more easily.Other ImprovementsWe also made a few smaller improvements in this update:Added more tooltips in different places to help players understand the game betterImproved the tutorial for writing a bookWe would love to hear what you think about the new staff system, the simple player interactions, and the overall demo experience. What feels fun? What feels confusing? What do you hope we can improve or add next?Your feedback really helps us understand the game better from the player’s side, and it means a lot to our small team.We hope you enjoy the new upd...
Hello everyone!Thank you so much for trying out our demo!So far, over 200 players have played the demo, and we are truly grateful for every one of you. Seeing people step into their little bookstores, write books, decorate corners, and share feedback with us has been incredibly encouraging. Since this is still a demo, we would love to hear what you think — what you enjoyed, what felt confusing, and what you hope we can improve. In this update, we made a few small improvements to make the beginning of the game feel smoother. We slightly improved the tutorial, added more tooltips to help explain the menus, and fixed several annoying bugs that could affect the overall experience.More importantly, we also added more decorations for you to play with! We really hope you enjoy decorating your cozy little bookstore as much as we do.This is still just the beginning, and we will continue adding more content and improvements soon.Thank you again for playing and supporting our little indie game.See you in the bookstore!
