Hi everyone! It’s been a while since our last update, but work on the project is fully underway every single day, and today we want to share our latest progress.Over this time, we implemented a basic tutorial system and are currently testing it out to make sure the onboarding is as smooth and clear as possible. We also completely finished our Steam integration: connected the Steam API, added achievements, and successfully tested how they work. Everything is running smoothly! The development process is moving full speed ahead, and it feels amazing to watch the game get closer to its release date step by step. We still have a few planned features that we will definitely include in the final release, but we are taking a major step forward right now. This week, we are submitting the first version of the build to Steam for review. As soon as Steam approves our game and we finish testing everything, we will share the exact release date.Thank you all for your interest, attention, and support!
Of course, Monyo first chooses what he wants to do, but then he looks for a special marker with an activity that matches his feline desire.I have different types of markers. He can stand and look around, sit, lie down, sleep, and play. To make his behavior more optimized and realistic, we place the markers in specific zones, carefully covering the location with them Of course, Monyo's activity is not limited to these markers. For example, he may also decide that he simply wants to ride around on a smart vacuum cleaner.I’m adding a short video to the post showing what these markers look like and how they are placed throughout the level.I thought this might be interesting for people who play games, are starting to develop them, or have already been developing their own games for some time It’s important to understand that this is just one approach to game development. And what about the vacuum cleaner...I want to show how the smart vacuum he rides on works. The vacuum cleaner itself is an NPC in a idle state. It has a 3D model and an activity marker that shows the cat that he can interact with the vacuum. When the cat decides to ride it, he goes to the vacuum, takes the position at this point, and gives the vacuum a command to move. The vacuum works using a similar marker system. To make it clear, I added a video where you can see the cat’s marker on the device itself and the route markers around the room set up specifically for the vacuum. There are special detectors around the vacuum. They help the cat understand which direction is safer to get off when stopping, so he doesn't bump into a wall or another object.
